It should be said from the very beginning that no one knows how many pedophiles exist in America since the overwhelming majority never fulfill their fantasies, nor do they come to the attention of law enforcement agents.
They seem content to fantasize in the safety and comfort of their own homes.
The pedophile collector falls into three general categories: closet, isolated and the sharer. The closet collector maintains and views his erotica in secret and does not molest children. This type of collector builds his collection in a clandestine manner and keeps its existence a secret. Sometimes, he will maintain this collection for years without the knowledge of a live-in spouse.
The isolated collector is actually engaged in molestation and will display the material to a victim. The sharer-collector trades and displays the material with others and may do so for profit. He also will molest children and keeps company with other pedophiles.
If DW falls anywhere in the catagories of a pedophile it would be the one in bold print.
BTW something to think about, the DA introduced the child porn for a reason. If he felt that DW really was a pedofhile or child molestor do you think he would hesitate to have an expert give us some profiles that DW fits?
Wouldn't you think there would be VHS tapes, Magazines, beside the computer zipdisks up on a shelf?
I know people will say, HE HAD xxxxxx images on those disks. Well, that is because they hold that much. It just seems to me that all men have a sexual drive throughout their life. They also have a sexual curiousity starting when their hormones go on the rampage.
They can be interested in just 'seeing' something. People SLOW DOWN to GAWK at a car wreck, at the dead bodies. Does that mean they want to see car wrecks with dead bodies every day, for hours at a time. No, don't think so.
A man could download porn onto disks, view them once or twice, out of curiousity, out of being without female companionship, many reasons. But after awhile, he must get bored with them.
I imagine DW rarely looked at or spent the time it would take to UNZIP the files and look at them.
That his son did is no surprise, and there are those that think Neal didn't look at pictures X or Y. Well, He probably did, but to admit it, to admit downloading it, would be prosecutable if it is found to be ILLEGAL (minors) PORN.
SO he admits to viewing the BIGBOOBS ones, and doesn't admit to the others.
From what I understood of the later cross (I couldn't get the trial on today, too congested) the passwords used to download the suspicious porn was not DW's.
The closet collector can probably get his kicks (for awhile) from viewing young children in their under clothes in CATALOGS.
Sears catalog, Pennys catalog, etc; PORN,PORN,PORN.
Any body remember out houses and catalogs for TP? Some men sure spent a long time in there reading the catalog.;-)
