Actually, many in the GOP were edging in his favor on the delay vote. He understands the political reality. This was a terrible time to vote on expulsion, when both parties need to look more pure. I'm sure he appreciated the strong call for delay. What's that supposed to mean. The SOBs voted against him. They wanted him out as much as the Dems did. What consolation is it that some were willing to at least support a delay in the proceedings. "I'm sure he appreciated..." Give me a break. With all due respect, that is a stupid comment.
The facts are he was voted out by all those good people you say supported him.

Call it stupid if you like. But believe me, he does have a few friends in congress. Not many mind you. But he understands the political realities.
