I thought I heard someone say they have to get two thirds to expel him...
To: Mo1
Addicting. When you find something good, the prices are FABULOUS.

Hulshof tried to make a joke, no sense of humor. Now his voice is rising too.

Two-thirds of those voting. In that case, there might be a good chance that Traficant will be sticking around. A lot of House members would be uncomfortable with a RUSH to judgement. I see no reason not to delay until AFTER recess.
To: I have a Question
Not yet; I suspect he's at the end.

100 oz. jug of Purex liquid laundry detergent is a straight $3.00 at Dollar General while Wal-Mart's price is $4.95 and other stores sell it for $5.95. Guess you know where I buy such stuff.

I read earlier this week at FR that Teddy Kennedy has somebody he wants to take Trafficante's place. He's silent so far this evening. That's how they do it. Duh! Teddy Kennedy is a Senator, a member of the "other body". Traficante is a member of the House. It is the House that is trying to decide whether to expell Traficante from the House. Senators don't have a say.
Did you have a problem with the "Butterfly ballot"?
To: PJ-Comix
In that case, there might be a good chance that Traficant will be sticking around. Unfortunately, there is literally no chance that he will win on the expulsion vote. On the motion to delay, it is a majority. But he won't even win that.

Man, talk about a bunch of hypocrites!

Burton is the most rational sounding one there so far. Burton is just as weird as Traficant.
The bottom line, for Traficant, is that you can't unmake a made man.
He's so crooked you'll have to screw him into the ground when he dies.
To: PJ-Comix
Motion to delay is probably decided by a simple majority (of those voting).

Thank you
