....this article is scary when it is totally focused on who wins simply by telling about their finances. I'm sure there's an agenda showing somewhere, but i'm just not sharp enough to pick it up. Well, it's been my experience that the BDN is and has been a liberal rag.
I can't put my finger on it yet, either, aardvark, but I am studying it. Trying to "read between the lines."
There was another article out not long ago:
Baldacci win not a sure thing, observers say
"They hated him, he said. But for the last eight years, hes been down in Washington marching lock-step with Bill Clinton and others. Thats fine when youre in Washington, but it may be a harder sell in the most heavily taxed state in the nation.
... marching lock-step with Bill Clinton and others.
The BDN is a rag, I cancelled my subscription a long time ago, news is always a day late, and they definitely have a liberal slant.
I remember in '96 when Baldacci accompanied Clinton to a rally at the Bangor Airport. I wanted to go heckle, but couldn't get there. Unfortunately, many voters will probably vote for a name that is familiar with him and are unaware of his waltz with the Clintons during his time in DC.
My father liked him, grew up with some of his family, but even he was getting discouraged when he voted against the marriage penalty repeal. If he gets in taxes will continue to hinder this state.
