The Racicot Doctrine - Republican Surrender?

By William A. Mayer, Editor & Publisher

July 23, 2002

Observing the media stoked hysterics swirling around a relatively few gross examples of corporate malfeasance and the concomitant antics this feeding frenzy has engendered in the stock market, the question occurs to us as to whether the GOP has learned anything since 1992?

The answer appears to be a resounding no.

RNC Chief, Marc Racicot, in an alarming strategic admission, recently explained to Fox News how the Republican Party would combat the hue and cry coming from left:

"…Talk about things when they're wrong, fix mistakes when they're made, but not to opportunistically try to take advantage of people..."

We are not exactly sure into which universe Mr. Racicot has been warped, but it certainly can’t be Washington DC.

Since the election, Bill & Hillary Clinton, Terry McAuliffe, Tom Daschle, John McCain, Jesse Jackson, Dick Gephardt and others within the Democrat National Coven have been relentlessly attacking Bush on every front imaginable.

The fires thus started are happily fanned into major conflagrations by a press, which receives its marching orders directly from the same architects of the politics of personal destruction that kept Bill and Hill in office through two crime-ridden terms.

The “Racicot Doctrine” is an admission that the Republicans still can’t get a handle on the most elementary political principle - you cannot allow your enemies to define you.

Just ask GHW Bush.

That GW Bush has identifiable enemies should be apparent to anyone but this fact somehow evades the increasingly befuddled dorks that are apparently reading the goat entrails back at ranch.

News Flash – Mr. Bush, every single one of your enemies has a political Achilles’ heel of major proportion; failure to exploit it invites further predation on your political power.

These people are living in crystal houses and throwing bricks – they are so vulnerable that conducting a search and destroy media operation against them would be child’s play.

Clinton/Gore – Are you kidding?

The “no controlling legal authority” masterminds of the decade of corporate greed.

Whitewatergate, travel-gate, pardon-gate, felatio-gate, cigarhumidor-gate, wagthedog-gate, wagthefinger-gate, aspirinfactory-gate, Lincolnbedroom-gate, Iloathe-themilitary-gate...

McAuliffe – Clinton’s personal banker, smug and shameless - an insider trading guru and graduate of the Hillary Rodham school of investing.

Bob Rubin – Junk bond devotee - the ultimate Wall Street glad-handing practitioner of Three Card Monte.

McCain – “Keating Five” bribe-boy turned faux campaign reform choir director.

Daschle – Divisive partisan lightweight using his power to advance the career of his wife, the fat-cat “K” street lobbyist, to the detriment of US national security.

Can you say Loral Space & Communications?

How about ChiCom blood money?

How about releasing Linda’s tax returns?

Jeffords – Got milk? - Lips permanently fastened to the Federal teat, spews curdled homogenized when upset.

Lieberman – Sanctimonious evil little dwarf and Enron bagman.

You could fill a book, I tell you!

So what the hell is stopping the Bushies?

Beats us.

We are totally at a loss to understand why the administration, if not taking on the Democrat long-knives directly, is not at least surreptitiously funding outside groups to run attack ads on the Democrat’s traveling whorehouse – ala the IBEW’s $800,000 funding of Bush/Harken Oil attack ads.

Yes we are distracted by war, but it’s a war caused by Clinton/Gore policies of appeasement.

Say it, Mr. Racicot!

Yes we are teetering on the precipice of a stock market meltdown – a necessary adjustment after a decade of greed and debauchery worthy of Nero and brought to you by Al & Bill’s gang of maggots at the Treasury Department and the SEC.

Scream it, Mr. Racicot!

Yes, that’s better!

To Mr. Mayer: When you finally realize that this is the facade that is put up in this "Two-Party Cartel" to make you think that they are opposed to each other - and they really are when it comes to who has the most crooks in Congress so that group gets the better offices - but to the PEOPLE of America the same old results will befall them by whomever is in office. (Where you aware that an education bill with an 8 BILLION additional spending would be adopted or Farm subsidies of steel tariff, a measly $300 tax rebate, no SDI, a bloated budget, making gov employees for airline gastapos, racial profiling is more important than MY safety & Bubba & group lives to inflick damage on us again.) Who hired Craig Livingston - Where is OBL.

Do you really think things would not be different if AlGore had won?

I am so sick and tired of this libertarian party crap, assuming that you think the libparty is the alternative to the current two party system.

The reason why the wimps (read "republicans") are not hitting back like they should is because a certain marxist junior senator in the senate has copies of all of their FBI files. It is pure blackmail and par for the course for someone as morally bankrupt as Hillary.

That is the best explanation I have heard so far, but I think that the RNC just draws a different class of people than the slime that the DNC recruits.

What do you think about the Daschle cartoon?

Racicot could be helping retake the Senate by running against Baucus in MT. He took a pass - - so I've assumed he doesn't share the average Freeper's passion about judicial nominations, tax cuts, spending and other issues that get decided in the Senate.

Racicot Doctrine? Doesn't the author mean the Bush Doctrine?

Bush put Racicot in the job and even accepted Racicot's terms. Racicot is Bush's pick and is, presumably, doing what Bush wants done in the manner Bush wants it done.

Assuming your theory is true, what do they have in their files that is damaging?

I'm not a tinfoiler( though Im tempted to become one because it would actually be more comfortable for me worldview wise to think the governments run by an evil conspiracy then my current view that there are SO MANY liars and thieves, commies, spineless appeasing RINOs in our government)

There all a bunch of crooks and socialist and the stupid American people elect them. You see why believing in an evil conspiracy is a lot more comfortable psychologically.

Raciot made a speech the other day to fire up Republicans with some tough words.

The funny thing about this article is, some say Raciot is tougher than the RNC of the past. Heck, he even released a large document countering attacks by Daschle.....USING DASCHLE'S OWN WORDS. The idea that he is doing nothing is a bit extreme I think. He could do more, of course.

It makes me wonder what is on those files for GOP leaders if they are scared of them being released......

I wish we could get some non-corrupt politicians elected.
