When people think of "immigrants", many naturally think of Mexicans, Haitians, "illegals", and similar such.

The DLS (dirty little secret) is that we haven't had a discussion about the character of recent immigrants...they are overwhelmingly Muslim from the Middle East and Pakistan. That demand for teachers of English as a Second Language doesn't refer to Spanish fluent.

Whole areas of Brooklyn, like Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Flatbush, and New Utrect, not to mention Queens are being taken over, as are the older cities of New Jersey.

In 9-11 itself, Pakistan lost 345 of its own citizens, Turkey lost 115, even Yemen lost 8.

Taxes may play a part, but the Muslim colonization of certain parts of the Great Satan continues unabated!

I have to say, at least in the southwest corner of CT, while there is a growing number of 'immigrants of color', (i.e., Indiands, Muslims,) it seems to me that the overwhelming numbers consist of hispanics.

And, at the risk of being flamed by border-state FReepers, these immigrants are only taking the jobs formerly held by previous members of the poor class and middle class teenagers.
