I-20 stretches for more than 650 miles in Texas, from Texarkana to near El Paso, so yeah, its going to have deaths, but more relevant is what is the death rate per mile. After the church bus crash someone dug up the statistics, and I-20 east of Dallas has a lower death rate than many other Texas freeways, such as stretches of I-45 and I-35.
