Ordie Fan Ross.........thanks so much for your sweet note to us. That Ordnance thread has been one of my favorites too. I'm just your average civilian and don't know much about the military. My only passion has always been support and honoring those who serve our country, but I had limited knowledge about all the hard work and sacrifices you make. I can't believe how hard you guys work. I'm so proud of the job you do. Also, my sisters husband is an F18 pilot so I appreciate you doing a good job for him, just to keep him alive. If you messed up, there could be an accident and my sister would be a widow (or he could mess up too, God forbid...knock on wood). So thank you, thank you, thank you for your hard work and dedication. I'm so proud and honored to know you. Keep in touch and keep coming back. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers ALWAYS. Hubba hubba...we like men in uniform around here. The women do, that is. LOL I agree with you. The Canteen just keeps getting better and better. All the new people coming in makes is even more fun. The new lay out is great isn't it? Be sure to spread the word about us. We want to reach out and touch as many as we can. We love you guys. A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with
fascination, and looked at the old pages as he turned them.
Suddenly, something fell out of the Bible,
and he picked it up and looked at it closely. It was an old leaf from
a tree that had been pressed in between the pages.
"Momma, look what I found," the boy called out.
"What have you got there, dear?" his mother asked. With
astonishment in the young boy's voice, he answered:
"I think it's Adam's suit!"

Spook - am very sorry to hear about your muscle pain. After my bout with shingles last week, "I feel your pain"...sort of. The thing that helped me finally was some very good meds that I know would make me addicted - but didn't - cause I am off em now. But thank GOD for the people who develop medicines for all of us. The leftists hate our Pharmaceutical companies - but I would like to hug the ones that came up with whatever pain medicine it was I took to get rid of my pains last week - and I hope you can get something like I had to help you!

The preacher was wired for sound with a lapel mike, and as he
preached, he moved briskly about the platform, jerking the mike
cord as he went. Then he moved to one side, getting wound up in
the cord and nearly tripping before jerking it again.
After several circles and jerks, a little girl in the third
pew leaned toward her mother and whispered,
"If he gets loose, will he hurt us?"

That's a GREAT picture. LOL Thanks for posting it. You are right about what you said. I really think I would be in a looney bin without him. He has healed my broken heart so many times and given me so many reasons to get out of bed each day, just by his love and grace alone. Then of course, he gave me two little humans to love and they have been healing also. My husband is good to me too. I shouldn't ask for anything more in life. But every so often, that feeling of wanting a dad creeps in, especially around Fathers Day. I cannot stand to look at Fathers Day cards. They kill me.

Nevertheless...God is faithful and oh so good. He is my daddy. I don't need anything else in life. I will be thankful for what I have.

Six-year-old Angie and her four-year-old brother Joel were
sitting together in church. Joel giggled, sang, and talked out loud.
Finally, his big sister had enough. "You're not supposed to talk out
loud in church."   "Why? Who's going to stop me?" Joel asked.
Angie pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those
two men standing by the door? They're hushers."

The kindergarten teacher was showing her class an
encyclopedia page picturing several national flags. She
pointed to the American flag and asked, "What flag is this?"
A little girl called out, "That's the flag of our country."
"Very good," the teacher said. "And what is the name of
our country?" 'Tis of thee," the girl said confidently.
