Funny backhoe, I used almost that same exact phrase while attempting to compose another post for this thread, prior to the time yours appeared.
I called it "the story no one is willing to tell." But some are trying, including Crogan.
The phrase that springs to mind is"hydra -- a many-headed beast." There are so many people with solid connections to the case it becomes confusing to people who haven't read/aren't familiar with all the details.
Look at the list: Ramzi Youssef, Murad, the Filipino police, Jayna, Schippers, Strassmeir,Angeles,his wife,Judge Matsch, Defenbaugh,Jones, Bodansky, all the witnesses who didn't testify at McVeigh's trial,and many more. That doesn't even include people with more tenuous connections like Richard Snell or Jose Padilla.
There are so many characters it becomes confusing to the average person on the street. Until someone can make sense of this, it's going to remain what it is. Still, I don't think it's going to go away that soon, because more people have become aware of just how solid the connections are in the last few months. And there's probably a single piece of evidence floating around there that could help tie it all together.
Perhaps this will happen at Nichols state trial, when and if it ever occurs. I've always thought it was providential Wes Lane announced he was going to retry Terry Nichols a few days before 9/11, though. Bet that wouldn't have happened had he delayed his announcement a week.

Yes, indeed- like a cancre sore, it kind of dies down and then flares up again. I noticed a definite uptick in interest in OKC coincidental with the "dirty bomber" ( Padilla? ) story.
Thanks to better communications, we can bypass the media and spread- keeping alive- stories "they just won't talk about on TV."
