Twin teenage brothers arrested in an attack at an Albuquerque home are suing the homeowner, whose son was smashed in the face with a baseball bat during the incident. La Cueva High School students Adam and Tylor Grier, both 18, contend they went to the home as peacemakers June Eleventh and were beaten by the homeowner, Shelley Zelin. Police say several teens were at the Zelin home when a brawl erupted. The police report alleges the Grier twins came to the home after the fight broke-up and smashed a window. According to Police, Shelley Zelin tried to scare off the Grier brothers with a baseball bat, but one of the brothers grabbed the bat and used against the Zelins son. Clayton Zelin had to undergo surgery for a broken bone in his face and received 18 stitches from a cut. The attorney representing the Grier brothers, David Norvell, says it was the two formidable brothers who were the victims in the fight. Adam Grier is 6 2 weighing 240 lbs. and Tylor Grier while 61 weighing 270 lbs. Norvell is seeking damages in the civil suit, saying both the Grier brothers sustained serious injuries. Police say Tylor Grier didn't appear to be injured at the time of his arrest a day later. Tylor Grier also did not make any reference to being assaulted at the time of his arrest.
