Am I correct in this?:
One does not have to be Hebrew to be an Israeli citizen, (there are Arab citizens of Israel).
All eligible citizens must serve in the IDF.
Therefore, some members of the IDF are not Israeli Hebrews, but Arabs who may have no stake in helping to keep the Nation of Israel secure.
I know there are Arab Jews, and there are non-Hebrew Israelis - doesn't this pose a problem for the IDF?

This is not an ideological question and I do not have a formed opinion on this topic; it is merely to engage discussion on a principle to perhaps clarify my understanding of the application of the Second Amendment.

Americans regard the right to self-defense and therefore the right to keep and bear arms as an unalienable right. From what little I know, individual Israelis are armed to the teeth for similar reasons to what our founders intended. Given the rightly unalterable conservative support for the Second Amendment to the Constitution, I ask for general comment upon how that principle correctly applies to Palestinians.

Seeing as how Arafat said last fall that the Palestinians get most of their weapons from the Israeli black market because of better prices, this shouldn't be much of a shock.
