Interesting. All no-knock raids and arrests associated with the anthrax investigation have been of Pakastani nationals, despite the misdirection about domestic suspects. Tell adds another piece to the puzzle.

Regarding the FBI's insistence on a lone American perp. There are only two explanations. One: it is disinformation, they have a good handle on who did it and this is just the cover story to lull the real perp into complacency. Two: they are incompetent, inept, foolish, stupid, and riddled with politically correct agents who couldn't find a large cow in a small barn.

the FBI, pursuing some thus far undisclosed lead, originally went looking for Abbas--in the first few days after September 11--at his presumed address on the top floor of a commercial building in Fort Lee. And Fort Lee is thought to have been home at some point to Nawaq and Salem Alhamzi

It's never been publicly authenticated that the Alhazmis lived in Fort Lee. It's been confirmed that they lived in Paterson for much of 2001, though. But if you know the area, a Fort Lee address would make sense for them, as any high-rise there with an eastern or southern view would provide an excellent view of the WTC.

Friday, 2 November, 2001: Anthrax cases hit Pakistan

Maybe Mr. Abbas had some left-overs with him when he flew home. And yet another news organization was the target -- one who "supported the government's stand against terrorism."

Last Fall, a now-banned Freeper named Spirit-of-Truth, found some time between some of his more tinfoilish theories, to post several intriguing threads about a guy named Waly Samar.

I'm foggy on the details, but Samar was linked to the '93 WTC bombers through phone records, IIRC. I believe he was also Pakistani. He attended a college in New Jersey, majoring in bio-chem.

Waly Samar's last address was in New Jersey, less than a mile from the mailbox where one of the anthrax letters was mailed.

Does anyone recall these threads?

Is there any chance of getting these particular threads restored?
