[history]
In interviews with dozens of neighbors, business acquaintances and family members in Southern California and Cairo, the emerging consensus is that Hadayet was an ordinarily religious man with little appetite for politics, who opened fire at the Israeli El Al ticket counter following a personal agenda that died with him.

The thesis is stupid (even grading on the curve for a left coast bay area liberal rag) but ignore the spin and there is some interesting info in this report.

"If someone is going to do a terrorist act, they wouldn't park their car, then walk minutes to a terminal and then stand in line before they shoot someone," said Medhat MahmoudIf someone, anyone is NOT going to do a terrorist act.....they sure as heck don't walk into ANY terminal, armed like that, right? This is all so stupid I can't believe it.

While Hadayet occasionally mentioned a hatred for Israel, Abdallatef Aboulzahab, a former employee, saw it more as a cultural perspective on Midele East politics than an emotion that would fuel violence. This just about says it all. Jew-hatred is part of their culture, and we can't criticize their culture, can we? That would be politically incorrect.

"If someone is going to do a terrorist act, they wouldn't park their car, then walk minutes to the terminal and then stand in line before they shoot someone." Madhat must have experience with the proper rules of terrorizm. Notice the non-terrorist did not shoot it up at Mexicana airlines. Not enough Jews.
