Perhaps this doofus has some valuable intelligence that he put on the table. He did get around a bit before landing in Afghanistan.
I don't think he's going to fare very well in prison anyway. It's going to be a very long 20 years for him.

As with Manson, he will not be kept in the general population is my guess. For his own "protection".

20 years is a long time, and 21-year-olds tend to be morons (I know, I was one). I think it's a fair deal, especially if we get some good intelligence out of him.

Washington was pretty benign toward the Whiskey Rebellion dudes.
This guy is a bonehead, but at least he has the brains to plead guilty.
This is not so unreasonable.

This can't be true ... Nina Totenburg went into great detail and great length explaining exactly how Johnnie's confessions were coerced, when I listened to her today on 'Morning Sedition'.

This is bullsh**! He should be executed for treason. Americans have turned into a bunch of sniveling wimps that are afraid to impose real consequences for ANY behavior.
To: mrfixit514
Now the muslims, THEY should be executed.
This idiot was guilty to a lesser extent, from what I understand.

For information
A federal felony conviction of the type identified here wouold warrant not less that 85 percent of sentence before being considered for parole.

This is bullsh**! He should be executed for treason. He wasn't being tried for treason. Many think he should have been, however, me included.

Yep, after he finks out Muhammad and Ahmed, they're going to have black Muslims in prison kill him. Even if they keep this guy in solitary for the 20 years, when he gets out, somebody will do him in. And we won't have to listen to the liberals whine about using the death penalty on him.
The way I figure it, the best evidence we have against the ragheads at Gitmo is this guy's testimony. Anybody he can finger, and have executed is one up for us. Besides, the ones we have no evidence on are going to probably get repatriated to Ashcanistan (or wherever) long before Johnnie Walker Red is back out on the streets. They'll get enough information from the convicted ones to have enough cause for one last jihad of their own by the time he's sprung.
The US gov't might have to put him in the Witless Protection Program!

"Eraser" was telecast last night. I say put him in a limo on a rail road crossing. Then to quote
The Arnold,"He caught a Train!"
To: Minutemen
While he is not technially a traitor within the letter of the law nevertheless he should be executed Im sure there is something with the death penalty that he violated.

The Fox article has been refreshed on their website with more details including commentary from Spann's widow:
Shannon Spann, widow of Johnny "Mike" Spann, the CIA agent who interviewed Walker and was killed in a prison uprising before Walker's capture, told Fox News she had mixed feelings about the guilty plea. "On a personal level I actually take a great deal of satisfaction from the plea," she said. "He acknowledged his conduct has contributed to Al Qaeda. He has in fact admitted he is a terrorist. . . .
"I don't believe that 20 years is . . . I don't believe that a lifetime is . . . enough to compensate for thousands of Americans being killed," Spann said. But "on a personal level, I'm gratified that he has somehow found it within himself to agree that he was involved."
Spann added: "Im also certainly pleased the government secured Walkers full and complete cooperation. He has agreed to cooperate on any subject, and that is important."

He should be kept from the general population so he does not recruit any more idiots to the "cause". Solitary confinement would be good.

While solitary will prevent him from recruiting, they will put him in it to protect him. He would not fare to well in the general population and probably not live to long.
