NEW YORK -- It's Rev. Al Sharpton vs. the Empire State Building.
The preacher and the management at the 102-storey midtown Manhattan landmark are feuding over the 48th-floor offices of Sharpton's National Action Network, where a city eviction notice was hung on the door.
Sharpton was booted from the building for non-payment of rent over the last six months, said building spokesman Howard Rubenstein. The activist's organization signed a 10-year lease three years ago, he said.
However, Sharpton maintains that he wasn't evicted. He said he moved out because the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks made it difficult to do business there. He said no rent is due but the New York Post puts the figure at $40,000.

Are you suggesting that Al Sharpton is a dead-beat? The absolute nerve! Next you're going to tell me Jesse Jackson is an adulterer!

For the livin' life of me, I can't see why blacks lower themselves to put these people in politics. Sharpton, Jackson, Billybob, all lowlifes! I'm sure they can do better than that. They need a wake-up call! Sharpton just makes me laugh when I see him. Such an idiot. He came here one time and was about 3 hours late! Jerk.

Well, to be fair neither of those illustrious names have ever been elected by the discerning voters. Naturally, their constituency is too sophisticated and intelligent to elect such clowns who would pale in comparision to such illuminated thinkers as Maxine Waters, Cynthia McKinney, Major Owens, Elcee Hastings etc.

You got that one right. Still want to know why they vote democrat when so many of them are truly conservatives. Hard to figure folks out some times. Must be the perks democrats give? Hmm.
