Police, who have ordered Iverson to remain at home until his arrest, kept tabs on the party from outside the front gate but took no action.
Funny, usually they just kick down the door and shoot people.
Must be nice to be a sports star.

Does anybody really believe that the law is more important than the NBA?

I am sure if I committed the same crime and the police knew where I was they would give me five or six days before arresting me....yeah right. I have always despised Alan Iverson. I am sure some of the "fellas" in prison would love to have their shot at him. |

Philadelphia 76ers Allen Iverson, right, talks with an unidentified woman, in the early morning hours Sunday July 14, 2002, at his Gladwyne, Pa., home. Iverson wil be charged for allegedly forcing his way into his cousin's apartment with a gun, authorities said July 11, 2002. Prosecutors say Iverson will be charged with assault and other offenses. He has been ordered not to leave his suburban mansion until Tuesday, when he will be allowed to surrender to authorities after his lawyer returns from vacation. (AP Photo/Brad C Bower) |

Another professional sports gansta thug being given a "time out" instead of arrested like he should be.
PS - I cringed when they call these large children sport "heros". There is nothing heroic about men who play kids games.

By all appearances, Iverson has always been a gangster. Never grew out of it. I have no sympathy for him.

Recently, there was an article in the New York Times, about NBA teams are now looking at Europe and other places for basketball talent. Among the reasons this is happening, is Europeans are more skilled in the basics of basketball versus many of the kids who try to turn pro at an early age, and the fact that the European players have a better attitude. I would like to think, that the age of the gang-banging athlete is coming to an end (but since Badjocks.com is one of my favorite sites,It may be a long time coming.), Steve Smith, a commentator on some of the NBA games, has said that this an warning shot to the kids of America, if they want to play in the NBA.

I'm sure the NBA must be preparing to take stern measures on this score. I'm sure Iverson will NEVER work in the league again after this!
Right, Mr. Stern? Mr. Stern?
Hello?

Houston just made a 7'-5" Chinese center the first pick in the Draft. And their second pick was from the Czech Republic.
Many teams have scouts combing Europe and Asia for the very reasons you're giving.
I don't believe Vlade Divac has a police record yet, for example.
