THE BULLIES VS. THE WIMPS
GOPUSA ^ | 7/11/02 | APRIL SHENANDOAH

"Is the fox guarding the hen house," asked the voice-over of a TV commercial as a sly red fox lurks about -- insinuating that the Bush administration has over-looked corporate corruption. That deceptive commercial has clearly set the tone for the upcoming elections. The Democrats (Bullies) are getting ready to pounce hard. And with the Republicans (Wimps) lack of strategy, it will be campaigning as usual.

Majority leader Tom Daschle and Senator Hillary Clinton have a game plan, and won't it be interesting to watch how it plays out? When Clinton was elected, one of the first things she did was to form a "task force" focused on "checkmate" type tactics to oust Republicans and guarantee the election of her like-minded (socialist) Democrats. Mark my words, Mrs. Clinton is a "force" to be reckoned with!

The Enron and WorldCom fiascoes have given the Bullies fighting fodder. While President Bush is calling for a "new era of integrity" Daschle is demanding "accountability" from the White House. Daschle and Clinton have blasted President Bush for waiting so long to tackle the many business scandals that have sent the stock market reeling. They have blamed the Bush administration and Securities and Exchange Commission for lack of leadership. One would wonder where Daschle and Clinton find the nerve to even speak the words "accountability" or "lack of leadership" in light of the "Slick Willy" era.

Corporate Responsibility was promoted during President Bush's recent speech on Wall Street, as he announced there would be no more "cooking the books", shading the truth, or breaking our laws. He proposed 100 million dollars for his newly formed task force to root out fraud, attempting to restore financial confidence for investors. Daschle's quick response -- "The President spoke loudly but offered a very, very small stick." He does have a point. Talk is cheap -- lets have some action that puts an end to "legal corruption."

During a press conference in Middletown, NY, Mrs. Clinton remarked, "I don't think it is adequate to just say there are some bad people and that we're going to go after them. We need to go further than enforcing the laws we've got because I don't think the laws are necessarily adequate." That statement -- from a woman who has been dubbed "one of the smartest woman in the country" -- and one who is going to run for president! Scary! She also uttered, "We have got to stay ahead of all those natural impulses people have to take advantage of each other." Comedy at it's best!

Daschle and his ilk take their trumped-up grievances and blatant lies to the media attempting to turn the public against Bush and his administration. So why don't the Wimps fight back when the Bullies criticize them? Because the political boxing match between the "parties" is a set up! We have been "conditioned" to choose sides and play "their" game. Why you ask? Because it keeps us distracted while the One World is busy turning us in to freedomless "robots of the future."

Oh, where or where is Mister Rogers?

As a matter of fact, Fred Rogers, of Mister Rogers TV fame, was honored recently by President Bush as he was given the Medal of Freedom. He has always been known for teaching children - caring - safety - and - respect for others. Perhaps he could mosey on up to Capitol Hill and offer his services to Congress and corporate America. They could use Rogers' pure heart among the hardened, greedy, power hungry leaders and CEO's who act like the heart is only a muscle -- and he wouldn't allow bullies on the playground.

That's the first solution I always think of. Have big government take care of it, create another agency, and throw money at it. I don't care if Clinton, Bush, heck even Ronald Reagan were in office, the solution to the problem is never to let the general government to start meddling in private industry. Yes people lost money, yes confidence was shaken, and 401ks are gone. So? Everytime a company goes under we start an investigation?

Listening to the libs, a visitor from Mars might be led to believe that the eight years of Clinton was a highwater mark of integrity and corporate responsibility and that, the moment Bush took office, every CEO in America began to cook the books, secure in the knowledge that George W. was a friend of Big Business and would allow them to operate with impunity.

Gephardt goofed up on this latest coordinated Bush attack on yesterday's Cavuto show. He got the whole fox and hen thing backwards. He said that the hens were guarding the fox house. He corrected himself shortly after. What a goober.

This is all smoke and mirrors, spin, disinformation, stalling.

All to take our eyes off the globalist takover schedule, the overturn of the constitution and the Bill of Rights.

What good is this Free Republic website if we're all too pansy to dig in and fight?

We're all about to get what we deserve real quick like.
