12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

Are they going to kill him? Is that what you're saying? He will wish they had.

"This is just a case of an ant running up an elephant's leg with rape on its mind."Trying your hand before your first book of pithy maxims is published?
I can already visualize the critical commentary: "A Benjamin Franklin he is not, but he does have a unique Texas-style style way of telling simple axioms that one may expect to learn throughout life, like 'This is just a case of an ant running up an elephant's leg with rape on its mind'. Truly unique indeed..."

He [Klayman] will end up fleeing the country when they are done with him. You're going to end up eating those words, smart guy.

TF may not be your favorite Freeper, and I know I sure don't fit the bill, but it appears that TF knows more about Halliburton's accounting practices based on personal experience than anyone else on this thread, and probably forum, and probably at this point, in the public square who is talking details at this point, and that includes Klayman. The beauty of this story however, is that within not too long a period, we will know who has the beef, and who has the BS. The key for the Dems of course is to avoid that resolution from occuring until after the midterms. Heck, with luck, it might put Kirk over the top, assuming it doesn't backfire. With boldness comes risk.

Trying your hand before your first book of pithy maxims is published? I wouldn't expect a giggly groupie to understand. Just as I always expect and enjoy seeing an idiot like Klayman shoot himself in the head. I would have said foot but this one is his professional suicide. It could not have happened to a more deserving roach.
To: Torie
Yes, we will certainly find out.
To: Fred Mertz
You're going to end up eating those words, smart guy. KLayman does not have the wherewithal to survive the judgment against him. He will be fundraising from Africa.

I inherited stock from my mother and my father....They told me to buy and hold (as they had)....Both of them died before the estate tax went down....I followed their advice and held the stock ....I am now down a whole lot....If I follow Larry Klayman's methodogy can I sue my parents?

The loser doesn't pay attorney's fees in this country, absent a contract providing for same, or some specific statute, which are few and far between. Thus Klayman can keep on trucking, assuming he can keep on fund raising.

"Just as I always expect and enjoy seeing an idiot like Klayman shoot himself in the head."Interesting that you would say that. Also interesting is this statement, "This is just a case of an ant running up an elephant's leg with rape on its mind."
Unfortunately, your pithy maxims are about as welcome as the tone-deaf lady in church who always manages to sing the loudest: good intentions or perhaps just delusions of adequacy. Either way, not welcome by anyone's ears.
To: Texasforever
Absent of course per a malicious prosecution action. One can fantasize, but that won't happen, unless Klayman sues his mother again, or some such type.

Thus Klayman can keep on trucking, assuming he can keep on fund raising. That is not what I was talking about. This suit will be dismissed however, there will be another suit. The one with Halliburton suing JW. The stock price drops from this point on can be laid at the bogus chares of one man, Larry Klayman. It is a matter of principle from this point on and believe me, Halliburton will make an example of Larry and his bogus organization.
To: Texasforever
No, that one isn't actionable. Sorry.

The United States Is under attack by inside forces with
varied agnedas. Klayman is biting the hand he endorsed while attacking Clinton.
Politics make strange bedfellows, and this proves it.
Who is pushing this attack with Klayman? It will all
surface, and the culprits will find that Cheney is not
a Clinton, Judicial Watch may be no more.

"Halliburton Responds to Larry Klayman's Supersillyous Suit(My Title)"As if that horrid imaginary word isn't enough to tell us that your title to this thread isn't just an entirely droll figment of your imagination.
To: Torie
It is actionable if the JW suit is found to be frivolous.
To: Torie
Hey, I wrote a note to Larry Klayman tonight asking if he would put his donor list on the internet. Whadaya think he'll say?
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Having a rough night?

Perhaps then you should also hold every other conservative non-profit to that same standard. Or do you just have a separate standard for Judicial Watch?
