12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

Assassin or Amazon, me, although I've only ever finished the game with my barb Jay-P. Do y'all play on Bnet?
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Oh lighten up for crying out loud. Nobody insinuated you would do anything of the kind. We were speaking humerously of college students in general. Such as those in Wisconsin that voted multiple times.
You claim to be a "woman", yet you can't even understand a simple bit of humor, none of which accused you of anything. Yet you accused me of being lazy, complaining, and derelict. Did I go running to Jim or the moderators? Did I rant at you? No, I made a joke of it and "moved on".
Every post is not about you. Grow a thicker skin. Get over yourself. We all have.

Hey, I want in on this deal too!

"He doesn't care, but I do."
Funny, you didn't used to. You didn't respond to my post #1903, so I thought I'd ask again.
Is it only wrong to "gossip" when somebody you disagree with does it or is it wrong for you as well. There was a time when you thought it was pretty darn funny.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Well you're wrong about me anyway.

Tony does a pretty good job of getting to the heart of a subject. I love listening to Brit blast Juan when Brit's on the panel on Sunday and doesn't have to be the "fair & balanced" moderator.
To: terilyn
FYI, almost all of those students were from Marquette.
To: terilyn
Well, you were. If you are going to sit around and complain about alleged mistakes in a website, the least you could do is contact the webmaster and have the "proble" solved.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
I know, your point?
To: Amelia
I'm here. Just woke up from my nap. Hope this thread gets to 2000 soon because my bedtime is in a couple of hours. See if you can goose Rebeckie into starting another food fight.

Larry's faulty poll is hardly a derelection of my duties.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Though a fair amount were from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.

Larry's faulty poll is hardly a derelection of my duties.
Well, remember who you're talking to. In her universe, you are responsible.
To: terilyn
Notice, they were both liberal schools anyway. No surprise there. Marquette is over-rated anyway and it is located in the ghetto of Milwaukee.
To: terilyn
That poll ran away from Larry. As soon as I heard him say that JW's own poll was in favor of their suit, I went to the website. The poll results were running against it even then. This was way before I saw any reference to the poll on FreeRepublic.
Larry usually manages his polls so that he gets the results he wants. But he had to take out this runaway poll.
To: terilyn
FYI, Larry only writes the question, he doesn't actually put the poll up on the website.
