12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."
This poll is just not accurate because of the link from FR.
Pardon my confusion here, but I do not undestand. Wouldn't you say that Larry actually launched himself by his association with this website....and Fox News duing the impeachment? Why should the votes of people on this website now not be counted? Because we know him too well?
I was making a logical guess or speculation.
Yeah, right. Backpedal, you're good at it.
And you REALLY TRULY think that nearly 1900 people (ask a math major) went over to JW from this one thread last night before the poll quit working? (and if you'll notice from the posts, it DID quickly quit working).
I doubt that many people even READ this thread, at least during the time period in question!
Then maybe Larry and his pixies should boycott FR. I can promise you this, he is now the darling of DU.
Really? Please elaborate.
Gosh, Larry "might have" put out a press release declaring the "results" of his poll before the results were in? Like I said before, how "ethical".
And further, isn't that interesting...I hear that's how they decide presidential elections in the liberal media in Florida as well.
Next thing you know he'll be calling for Cheney's impeachment before all the facts have been presented...whoops, already did that.
