WASHINGTON, Jul 9, 2002 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Terry McAuliffe issued the following statement:
"Yesterday, President Bush responded to a question about his civil rights record by saying, 'Let's see. There I was, sitting around the table with foreign leaders, looking at Colin Powell and Condi Rice.'
(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20000107/DCF015 )
"I'm sure President Bush listens to Secretary Powell and Dr. Rice on foreign affairs and homeland security, but his policies on civil rights indicate that the President turns a deaf ear and must not be listening to African American and other leaders and organizations concerned with civil rights. Certainly they would not have told Bush to allow the Justice Department's Civil Rights division to be run by Republican political operatives instead of impartial career lawyers whose job it is to enforce those laws.
"How else would you explain redistricting decisions that dilute the representation of minority voters? How else would you explain an investigation of the controversial 2000 Presidential election that avoids looking into nearly all of the allegations of voter disenfranchisement? How else to explain almost ending the Adams Mark's discrimination settlement decree for no apparent reason other than a cozy relationship between Attorney General Ashcroft and the hotel chain's President? And as for helping election reform become the law of the land, Bush has simply been AWOL. He needs to exercise some Presidential leadership to get the stalled legislation out of conference committee and onto his desk before Congress adjourns for summer recess and campaign season.
"So while the President took a positive step forward in appointing highly qualified African Americans to prominent positions in his Cabinet, he has often taken two steps backward on many of the civil rights issues that African Americans are confronted with on a daily basis."

I could always point out the DNC's record on unconstitutional racially biased policies... like chucking 140,000 American citizens of JAPANESE and ITALIAN descent into prison camps without trial... and the fact that every war started in Asia began with a Democrat President for the last 100 years....
Then again, if McAuliffe has to pop off on this issue, it also means that Senator Daschle and Rep. Gephardt's fell flat this morning.

Never mind that the majority of these redistricting plans Little Terry is crying about have been upheld in Federal Courts.
To: bonesmccoy
I'd rather talk about Terry's inside trading!!!

How else would you explain an investigation of the controversial 2000 Presidential election that avoids looking into nearly all of the allegations of voter disenfranchisement? They held a Congressional hearing, they begged these alleged disenfranchised voters to appear-- they got exactly ZERO people to appear with even allegations.
But, let's not let the truth get in the way-- we've got some politickin' to do...
Did I ever tell anyone here that I truly hate these people? The dimwitted Democrat sheople are one thing, they don;t knwo better, but these people are intelligent and they ARE TRULY EVIL-DOERS.

There you go again, (to quote Pres Reagan). Logic has no place in a discussion regarding Demonrat pronouncements. Mr Mcawfulick asserts that his $18 Million gain in the Global Crossing fiasco is just plain ol' capitalism. With regards to racial equality, where were the Demoncraps when the Civil Rights Act of '64 was being voted on.
Scumbag!!!!

Easy, during a time of war, Dubya doesn't have time to cater to these idiots that don't know how to vote.
1) the fools that can't fully punch out their "chad".
2) the losers that can't read and understand a butterfly ballot.
3) criminals that want to vote, in TWO states nonetheless
McAuliffe is a moron and is at his wits end. He knows his party is in deep trouble and realizes the only people he can count on are the brainwashed minorities who trust in him, they're the only ones that will believe this crap.

Yes, and regretably, when the media repeats McAwful's rants, it implants the false info in the collective conscience of our nation.
To: bonesmccoy
What did he do with the $18 million he squeezed out of the Global Crossing fiasco?
To: Colombia59
I'm sure he's splitting that $18 million among the poor and homeless that the RATS love so much!!!! (When pigs fly)!!!!

Even for a bullsh*t artist like Terry McAuliffe that list of Republican racial crimes is pretty hilarious.

I'm not sure if that's a deer in headlights or a jackass. On the other hand, it might just be a jackass in headlights or a mutant deer.

Funny how we can get The DNC Chairman running his mouth over civil rights and President Bush's Record, but remember this is the same Terry McAuliffe who became chairman through backdoor deales and only after protest from The CBC did he appoint Maryard Jackson to some made up token position that he recently left because he had no say in anything. What is even funnier is that Terry Mac will not bring up the fact that Democrats in the Senate will not confirm persons of color put forth be President Bush just because of that fact.
To: LADY J
I'd rather talk about Terry's inside trading!!! And Hillary's cattle futures!!!
