Thanks for all the military photos you posted, Spookie--I always scan them intently looking for a familiar face. Especially loved the photos of the Big E--a ship near and dear to our hearts. I have an outstanding aerial photo of her--if I can get it scanned and properly reduced maybe I can figure out how to post it one day...

Good to see everyone. I just wanted to drop in quickly and say hello--I have some calls to make and some "stuff" to do. Sorry if I missed anyone currently here on the ping....

The Fourth thread was OUTSTANDING--I got on late and just now caught up. What beautiful graphics. We had a busy weekend--lots of pool parties and barbeques. I'm gearing up for family to come stay for the remainder of the month. Everyone has been in line to come down and "help out". It's so nice to have company!!

I'll be sure to introduce my grandmother to the Canteen one day while she's here. She is a WWII USO'er and found herself as a young wife and mother of a 16 month old and newborn twins while my grandfather was off flying over North Africa. She is a true conservative and had alot of influence on the development of my own political beliefs. We'll be sure to drop in later in the week.
