AUSABLE FORKS Churches and small businesses deserve more federal support after disasters, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Saturday, touring damage from the April 20 earthquake. She stopped in AuSable Forks for an earthquake-damage update as part of her North Country visit. While meeting with Essex County town supervisors and emergency-services directors, Clinton said she would like to change the Federal Emergency Management Agency to include more financial relief for churches and small businesses. Churches are a vital part of any community and should be repaired with government help, she said.

She is a hypocrite. Since when has she been concerned about churches? She must be looking at George Bush's approval ratings again. I would sooner have the devil help me rebuild a church than Hillary Clinton.

Very few show up for Hillary.
MALONE North Country Democrats used an opportunity Friday to tell U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton what they need from her.
Friday night, more than 40 people waited almost an hour to visit with her at the Park Street Inn, where she shook hands with each person and heard local concerns.
The junior senator from New York was on a whirlwind trip through the region the day after Independence Day to help both Malone and Massena celebrate their bicentennials.

Beware of Senators bearing gifts. Don't let the evil one blur the line between the Church and government as it will have strings attached. A trojan horse here.

Absolutely -- federal government "aid," now federal government schools, next federal government churches.

Churches and small businesses deserve more federal support after disasters, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton What was it that Ms. Rodham said about the effect of one of her proposals? Something like, "I can't be responsible for every undercapitalized business . . . "

40 people? That's a pretty big crowd for the Keene Valley area. Especially in ther summer, when huntin' shootin' and fishin' types disappear into the woods.

Would someone please ask her to stop spending our paychecks?????

It was Bicentennial in Malone with large crowds for everyone but Hillary.

Yeah--Why doesn't she give them some of that book-signing bonus money that she and Bill got instead ??

Sure they want churches to take Federal money. With all the strings attached.
And if you don't think many denominations are in already in tight with the Dems and their goals, then take a look at who's sponsoring a lot of the pro-Palestinian anti-Israeli charity work that's being done. Your tithes and tax-exempt dollars at work?
