Being temoparily inconvenienced is a much better alternative for the squirrels than is being toasted, roasted and flambe'd.

How the hell do they know that a tree squirrel has a low enough population to be endangered? I don't believe a word of it because squirrels live frickin' everywhere!

Thanks for the ping...
Notice how the FS is so scared of these enviro-Nazis that they specifically say that no trees of any size will be cut. And even clearing the deadwood is abhorrent to these nutcases.
BTW, the Az Daily Star/Yahoo link is active as of the time and date of the post.

Someone doesn't want us reading this story!
Looks like the press censors must have either left early on Wednesday to get a start
on their four-day do-nothing July 4th vacation...or they were knocking back Rum and Cokes
before noon on Wednesday.
Reminds me of how the story about the Russians finally revealed that they executed
Raoul Wallenberg because they didn't know what to make of a man who was risking his
life to save innocent civilians...and Jews at that.
To the Soviets, this was either a dangerous or psychotic personality, might as well shot him.
I don't remember the exact date, but it was quietly pushed out the door during a holiday...
at Thanksgiving or Xmas time...when the regular press censors are either drunk,
stoned and/or on vacation.

The anointed at the universities don't want full exposure of their values system.
(although it's clear to anyone with half-a-brain)
Removing overgrowth to protect some pin-head astronomers government-supported
telescope...GOOD...even if it endangers a life-form.
Removing overgrowth to protect the homes of the citizens that paid for the Anointed Ones'
telescope and sabbaticals to quaint university towns in Germany, France and the like...BAD...BAD...VERY BAD!!!

Actually, this is not much to cheer for as you read this comment:
Gail Aschenbrenner, a Forest Service spokeswoman:
"It's not a huge project," she said, "but I think it will do a lot to reduce the risk without doing any thinning or tree cutting."
Another enviral Druid Nun playing forester at our expenses while pushing the Druid agenda of no new roads, no thinning or tree cutting.
>This typical of the lies and warped so called science of the Enviral Nazis from Hell:
The endangered Mount Graham red squirrel had been seen in the past in the area being pruned and cleaned. But the animal is not known to live there now, probably because the forest has been decimated by an insect infestation, according to a Forest Service memo authorizing the work.
This rodent, cousin to a rat, doesn't even live there. In fact the Druid Agenda of not clearing the forest has decimated the forest do to an insect infestation.
However, this rat cousin might want to come back some day.
Their real goals were to have nature or one of their arsonists start a fire and burn up these ugly telescopes that vile/evil man put on the top of this Druid Cathedral.
How would you like to work in the midst of a high desert tinder box like this situation created by the Enviral Nazis from Hell?

With pressure from the University of Arizona, the U.S. Forest Service has quietly begun pruning and cleaning the forest around the telescopes atop Mount Graham.Sounds like they are abondoning the 'native-American' style of forest management. Good.
