IRVINE, Calif. (AP) - The neighbors of gunman Hesham Mohamed Hadayet knew him as a quiet man with a friendly young son, but also as someone offended by a large patriotic American display.
Hadayet, 41, who also went by the last name Ali, was shot dead by an airline security guard at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday after he opened fire at an El Al airline ticket counter, killing two people and injuring four.

If they are so touchy about the flag, they can leave the country.

If seeing the American flag is so disturbing to these poor, persecuted, peace-loving Islamics, perhaps American should display more flags.

Let's say I emigrated to another country, perhaps Egypt. My new neighbor happened to be an ex-soldier in the Egyptian armed forces. Would I consider it "in my face" if he displayed the Egyptian flag? Would anyone in their right mind listen to me if I complained about it? No! They would tell me "This is Egypt!"
Hard to believe how far this country has fallen in such a short time.

If we did that, these poor, persecuted, peace loving Islamics would be forced to slaughter our women and children. Do we want that on our consciences?

I read the book "The Gift of Fear," too. It is a great book!

The one clear message I get from this is if that you offend someone by flying your American flag then it is certainly something one should do. Now I do not fly a USMC flag but do fly the Navy flag and woe unto anyone who tries to take it down.

Oh, your right De Gavin's book was excellent! I was glad he wrote it because it confirmed many things I knew intuitively to be true but had been talked into believing were paranoid or neurotic. I found it very helpful and one that I think all women should read.

If you look at the website of Gavin De Becker in his "Additional Resources" section, he lists books to read. One of them is "It Takes a Village," by Hillary Clinton. He and his firm just lost all credibility.

. I think some people have this stupid idea that just because we have lots of different cultures living here, we should just drop our flag, our national language, and our heritage and become completely homogenousThey are called "liberals" or sometimes "democrats."

But Metzler said he was uncomfortable allowing his daughter to hire Hadayet. "I'm Jewish. I didn't feel comfortable with it," he said. Another life saved by racial profiling. I bet that daughter will listen to what her dad says a lot better from now on.

By RAWYA RAGEH Associated Press Writer
CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Police questioned the father and wife of the Egyptian who shot two people dead at Los Angeles airport, security guards at the father's apartment building said Friday.
Hesham Mohamed Hadayet, 41, opened fire in Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday, killing two people at Israel's El Al ticket counter before being shot and killed by an airline guard.
The FBI said Friday there was nothing to indicate the shooting was a terror attack but also said it could not rule out terrorism.
Hadayet, an Egyptian limousine driver, had lived in the United States for 10 years and was married with two children. Police who went to his home in Irvine, Calif., on Thursday were told Hadayet's wife and children had left for Egypt.
Egyptian police arrived at the apartment of Hadayet's father in downtown Cairo Friday morning, the building's security guards said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The guards would not let reporters go up to the apartment, which is in a well-kept, six-story building in Abbasiya, a middle-income area of the city.
Hassan Mostafa Mahfouz, the husband of Hadayet's aunt, said the deceased shooter's wife and sister were taken away for questioning by Egyptian intelligence.
Mahfouz, a retired general, said the news of the airport shooting left him in disbelief.
Hadayet's mother, father and two children were in the apartment, Mahfouz told The Associated Press.
Hadayet listed July 4 - the day of the shootout - as his birthday on one of his two Californian driver's licenses. The other license said his birthday was April 7. Both licenses gave his year of birth as 1961.
Mahfouz said that July 4 was Hadayet's birthday and that Hadayet had called his father on Thursday as he knew his father would want to wish him happy birthday.
Hadayet's mother, father and two children were in the apartment, Mahfouz told The Associated Press.
A woman who lives in the same building as Hadayet's father said she last saw Hesham Hadayet four or five years ago.
"He is a disciplined, average Egyptian citizen," she said, identifying herself only by the first name Mai.

Ferret out terrorists by flying the flag and praising God. Anybody that complains are the ones to watch out for. Simple and effective.

Hard to believe how far this country has fallen in such a short time. Understand, the ememies are inside the gates, and our own government allows it to happen.
To this day, approximately 8,000 Middle Eastern men continue to be allowed to enter this country on visas.
8,000 a month!
8,000 a month!

I never read the huns book, and won't either. I am not sure why his site recommends it. Well, do you think he may have biases because for one, he has done much security details on many famous hollywood wonks..... Besides, political legislatures, his profession is security in indiviual's safety. FYI....
