I will be turning 22 at 2:40 am on Thursday, which is Independence Day. I am honored to have been born on our nation's "birthday." One of the most significant reasons why I am a conservative is the fact that my birthday is the Fourth of July. This fact helped to instill in me a strong sense of patriotism in me from a very young age, and since I was able to read, I've been reading about the Founding Fathers and the founding years of our great nation, and I grew to love American history. My patriotism and love of American history translated into becoming a conservative activist later in life, due to various events and influences that shaped my life. I will always be proud of the fact that my birthday is Independence Day.

That's SO cool, Pyro. But I seem to recall some bad news....as in, wasn't AlBore's son born on the 4th? I seem to remember that in the recesses of my mind. Oh well, don't think about that - HAVE A SUPER BIRTHDAY!
My hubby's is on Flag Day. As a little guy, he just thought everyone put their flag out for his birthday!

Congratulations and best wishes - my father was born on July 4th...every year my mother baked a special three layer, three color cake to honor the country's and his special day...he passed away a few years ago at the age of 89 on April 15 - Tax Day - sort of a metaphor for where we've come as a country since 1900.....

I'm new to FR, but have been lurking for about a year. I'm coming out of lurk mode to say I'll be 51 on Independence Day. Hence my name doodlegal.

Me, too! 8:37 am, 1966. I suppose you may already know that Calvin Coolidge, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Stephen Foster and PT Barnum also share our birthday.
(I've always thought it noteworthy that three Presidents died on this day as well: John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Monroe.)

My son will be thirteen years old tomorrow. He is aware of the significance of his date of birth and is learning as much as he can,voluntarily I might add, of the history of the birth of his country. Needless to say, his mother and I are very proud of him.

Oh, give her the damn cigar. It wouldn't be fair to all the other people who were born on the 3rd. What about those born on the 5th? I wouldn't want to offend them. No I just can't do it.

My best high school friend, Susie, was born on the 4th of July !!! I don't know where she is or what she is doing ...30 years later. Life, Love and Careers took us from a small town in Missouri , across the US and to countries that we only read about. But I do wonder where and what happened to my friend every 4th of July...no matter where I happen to be. If you read this, by chance..."Love ya Girlfriend" !!!. Hope you are happy and doing well !!!

It's my niece's birthday.
I made some cupcakes and wrapped her gifts while my sister took her 2 brats...umm girls to a friends house to set off some fireworks.
I planned to make a cake with red, white and blue layers but couldn't find the food coloring.
