Ozzy's Wife Sharon Has Cancer

Sharon Osbourne, the wife and manager of expletive-spewing rocker Ozzy Osborne, has been diagnosed with what her family spokeswoman called a "treatable form of cancer."

She is scheduled to undergo surgery today at an undisclosed location.

Ozzy Osbourne and the Osbourne children — Aimee, Kelly and Jack — were with Sharon Osbourne in Los Angeles last night, spokeswoman Lisa Vega said.

"The family is together," Vega said. "They will be with her through her surgery and recovery."

Vega declined to be specific about the type of cancer, saying, "I want to protect their privacy."

The spokeswoman said Sharon Osbourne only recently learned she had cancer, but described her as being "in good spirits."

"Her doctors have given her a good prognosis," she added.

However, the first two dates of Ozzfest 2002, slated for July 6 in Bristow, Va., and July 7 in Pittsburgh, have been postponed. It was not clear last night whether Ozzfest shows on July 19 and 20 at the PNC Center in Holmdel, N.J., would be affected.

America has gotten to know the Osbourne family since it opened their Beverly Hills, Calif., home to MTV's cameras. The show "The Osbournes" made its debut in March and has drawn millions of viewers.

Just minutes after the statement about Sharon Osbourne's cancer was made known, Ozzy Osbourne fans were discussing the news in Internet chat rooms.

Prayers to who... Satan. In my most humblest opinion, I've not seen Satan take very good care of "his own". Most get rewarded for their service to him very poorly.

It's a very good educated guess, IMHO...

It does not take a doctoral degree from seminary school to see what a lot of the followers of groups like Black Sabbath are into. Just a quick trip to any of the many Black Sabbath websites and you'll see loads of Satanic Symbols. What would your guess be... Jesus ? LOL!

I don't know if Ozzy ever became an American citizen, but he is one of America's biggest defenders and loves this country far more than many Americans do.

One story about Ozzy. He was appearing on some television show and Russel Yates was appearing on the same show at a different time. Yates, saying he was a big Ozzy fan wanted to meet Ozzy and get an autograph and had a security guard go ask Ozzy if he could meet him. Ozzy replied, "If I am ever in the same room with him I will burn his eyes out with a hot poker."

you know thats pretty shallow....you and so many others think that ozzy is satanist or evil ? you realize that by saying that your basically saying that anyone involved in the heavy metal world is evil...(im a member of that community)as for the satanic signs on the so many black sabbath sites...you realize that those are fans sites and not ozzy's himself? oh well...look if your into christianity that much great...you'll be just one more to the list of "im a christian so i must hate all who are involved in or listen to heavy metal"

*can attest to this, having seen Ozzy twice in concert, once in '91, and again in '94* Yelled 'I love you' more than once each concert. And I swear that man had the energy of someone roughly my age (25) in each showing. *s* Lots of fun to watch. Very energetic.

I wish Sharon and her family the best. Long time Ozzy fans like myself know that Sharon is the very best thing that could have ever happened to Ozzy.

One thing is for sure without his wife Ozzy's career would fizzle. I don't think much of those people, but I hate to see anyone go through a battle with Cancer. I hope she recovers fully.
