Emil Zola wrote an article called I Accuse to protest the unjust conviction and imprisonment of Capt Alfred Dreyfus on Devil's Island. It worked, Dreyfus was not only exonerated but returned to France a hero. I've decided to borrow the idea, tweak it a bit and use it to express without apology my thoughts, opinions and feelings about current events.Its a little something I've called I REFUSE. I invite my fellow Freepers to join in with their own refusisms.
I refuse to believe religion should be kept private.
I refuse to accept the opinion of so-called experts when it goes against common sense.
I refuse to censor myself simply because some Godless Leftist may be offended.
I refuse to see any more Tom Cruise movies.
* I refuse to lower myself just to make another person feel better or more comfortable.
*I refuse to inhibit my actions in any manner because of what some 'color coding' shift from yellow to amber!
*I refuse to believe the war against terrorism will be won until the government realizes that the Saudis are the inate backers of these Jehadi causes with their funding and 'spiritual' support.....as well as providing the actual mules (suicide bombers).
*I refuse to believe that Pakistan is an ally of the US.
*I refuse to believe that money is inherently evil, or that it is better to be poor than wealthy.
*I refuse to believe that dogs are better than cats.
*I refuse to believe that most humans are better than cats.
*I refuse to believe that the European right is the same as the American right!
*I refuse to believe that the world was only created 6,000 years ago even when there is evidence to the contrary.
*I refuse to believe those who call me Godless for believing the Earth was created eons ago.
*I refuse to give credence to any claims that life somehow managed to evade the laws of entropy and arose from a single cell, and managed to branch into varied and complex life forms and ecosystemic niches without some sort of 'guidance.'
*I again refuse to believe that in absolute evolution....although i do chose to believe in specific adaptations.
*I refuse to think like everyone else just to be 'politically correct.'
I refuse to stop being an eccentric, egomaniacal, perfectionist, overachiever who thinks extremely highly of himself and always strives to be better than everyone else!
I simply refuse!
