Retired New York City police officers are furious that Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta rejected a proposal to use 1,000 retired officers to provide airport security in New York in favor of helping hundreds of non-U.S. citizen security screeners keep their jobs in San Francisco.

I'm only a lukewarm supporter of either, but my hope is 43 will be more like RR than his father. I don't think either one is really interested in what a single voter has to say, they seem to have their own path and I'm not sure either has ever shown the leadership RR demonstrated in bringing Russia back into the western world (except the Desert Storm coalition). I think they both get their economic advice from a Oujia board.
Russia is having a tough time but in the end all of eastern europe will be better off.
43 is doing his best work in the war on terror. His military background and listening to what so far seems to be the right advice has led to major gains in the war and Iraq knows things will change. Iran is ready to burst. Although most of the population doesn't remember the American prescence, the elders do, and they were once our best friend after Britain. The people desire to be like the rest of the western world.
