Ted Nugent for Homeland Security Director

Ted Nugent is what is needed for our youth culture today.
Screw the Osborne's with all of their anti-establishment crap.
Ted is out there making a difference with the youth. Providing EDUCATION on firearms and hunting safety.
He is involved with MADD, D.A.R.E and other such groups.
He works with kids who are physically disabled so that they can shoot a gun or bow&arrow.
PLUS he is pro-AMERICAN and isn't afraid to say so. It is soooooo refreshing to have someone like that speaking on national radio and going on rock&roll tours promoting the POSITIVE side to America.
You may not like his music, BUT you can't fault his passion.

TOPICS: Crime/Corruption; Culture/Society; Government
KEYWORDS: homeland; nugent; youth
His pro-gun opinion is particularly noticeable.

I heard him on the rock station in anchorage a few weeks back. He was lending his support to the pro-gun Republican gov candidate.

He has politics written all over him and would be a great candidate. I think Teddy will have to move to center though to be successful on a national scale, just reality of getting elected. Can he accomplish this and still retain integrity?

Why would he want to take the pay cut?

"Some crazy Jap offered me a hundred grand for this guitar." -- Ted Nugent this morning on the Bob & Tom show.

"Who knows what some crazy Japs would pay for this one." --Ted Nugent speaking of another of his guitars.

"I think Teddy will have to move to center" This is the same reason that Rush won't run for office. Move to the center is move off their ethics and values.

I'm DAMN glad that they don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We could do that. Or we could eliminate the need for a DHS entirely by ending all foreign aid, bringing all the troops home, passing a national must issue/must carry law, deporting all illegals and shooting them if they try to come back and, if we must, subsidizing firearms training.

It's almost the 4th. I can dream, can't I?

I'm not sure this is something to brag about. The DARE program is extrememly expensive, unaccountable, and it has actually been shown to increasage marijuana usage among suburban middle-schoolers.

Agreed.I voted for Ted as a board member of the NRA,but MADD seem to me to be a reactionary organization of people so overcome with grief that they can't think straight.I don't know that much about DARE.

Ted Nugent would probably like the challenge of hunting terrorists with a bow and arrow.
