"As you may have heard, a federal appeals court has ruled that the Pledge of Allegiance is an unconstitutional endorsement of religion and cannot be recited in public schools because it contains the phrase 'under God.' Do you agree or disagree with the court's decision that the Pledge is an unconstitutional endorsement of religion?"

I'm sure some of the Democrats in the Senate who joined the unanimous support of the Pledge had to force themselves to push the "Yes" button. They can't stand saying it, but they know they'll be in trouble back home if they don't pretend to support it.

The look on Feinstein, Daschle, and Leahy's faces was priceless -- they had the words but you could tell they were extremely uncomfortable. On the other side of the aisle, Sen Jeff Sessions from AL left no doubt he was totally against this ruling.

What a contrast!
