BETSYLEW R. MIALE-GIX received degrees in History and Political Science from UCLA in 1981, and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 1984. From 1984 through 1995 her areas of practice included plaintiff and defense personal injury, product liability and other tort litigation. Since 1996 she has represented persons injured by the wrongful acts of others at Adler
Giersch PS, with offices in Seattle and Everett. Ms. Miale-Gix contributes articles to "The Advocate", was co-editor of the educational pamphlet "Common Legal Terms in a Personal Injury Case" and has spoken at seminars on issues of law and practice.

Ms. Miale-Gix is a member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, and the Washington State and Snohomish County Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Washington. In 2001, Ms. Miale-Gix briefed and successfully argued a case before the Washington State Court of Appeals making new law in Washington recognizing the right to recover for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as bodily injury under Uninsured Motorist Coverage.
Ms. Miale-Gix also serves as counsel to, and an officer of, the non-profit United States Boomerang Association. She is a high level competitive thrower and two time member of the USA Boomerang Team, competing in World Team Cup competitions in the United States and Australia.

I can't form an accurate opinion based on this conflicting information.
Now that we have got that out of the way. They should be fired (for stupidity) and we need to abolish the TSA.
I think a pair of fists on an airplane are far more useful than 1000 boomerangs.
And feet... you can use your legs and feet to inflict serious damage -- a terrorist threat.
I guess, soon enough, we'll all have to be hogtied during the duration of our flights, lest a fist or foot be able to hijack an airplane.
