Pray for Bush Day 653- and Israel

Psalm 51:15-17
O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall show forth thy praise. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank You for this day and for the blessings You have given us. I thank You for all of the decisions made for Christ this weekend at churches and at the Billy Graham Mission in Ohio. I thank You for the thrill and exhileration of simply knowing You. You are a wonderful God and I love You very much.

Father, I lift up to You President Bush and ask that You would be with him to guide him and give him wisdom until we meet here in prayer again. Lord, give him spiritual discernment and a clear knowledge of right and wrong in all of his dealings- and give him the will to do right always. Protect him and Laura and their family and keep them safe from all forms of harm, and glorify Yourself in their lives.

I pray for Israel, Lord, and for the peace of Jerusalem. Lord, may Your light shine upon her and may Your glory be shone throughout her land and our own- drawing souls to You and raining down peace wherever Your Spirit goes.

Go with us the rest of this day and make us a blessing to others even as You bless us and we praise You- for it is in the matchless name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that I pray these things, Amen.

Mighty God, Everlasting Father,

Thank You for the privilege of joining with other believers in prayer today as we seek Your blessings upon our President and our nation. Father, we know that You are the only answer for a nation that has strayed from You. You are our only hope for restoration. Please send forth Your Holy Spirit into the heart and soul of this nation, Lord, and fill us with the knowledge of Your presence. Restore in us a knowledge and respect for Your Word, and help us to apply Your teachings to our daily lives. Convict Your people to spend time in Your Word each day, and let nothing get in the way of our appointed times of prayer with You. Father, we pray that Your presence would be felt throughout this nation; and that the testimony of those who believe, along with the power of the Holy Spirit, would enable others to find You.

Father of lights, please pour forth Your spirit upon all flesh in this nation that all people may see and know Your salvation. You have promised to seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away; to bind up that which was broken, and to strengthen that which was sick. May our nation and every nation worship You, Father, because Yours is the Kingdom. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Heavenly Father, we lift up President Bush to You this day and ask that You would give him the desire to walk in Your light at all times. Let Your Word be a lamp unto his feet and a light unto his path. Help him always to walk in the light of Your Word, for the entrance of Your Word shall give him light. Guide him, Father, that he may walk as Your child of light and let him have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.

We pray also for the people of Israel, that Your righteous right hand would protect them, and that the truth of Your Word would be honored there. Father, please give wisdom and guidance to Ariel Sharon, that he may lead this nation in a way that pleases You. Fill President Bush with the desire to please You in our relationship with Israel, that we may honor Your name and be obedient to Your Word.

May Your blessings be upon all those who have committed themselves to pray for our nation and our leaders. We offer You all the praise and glory due Your name. In Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Father God, as You have sheltered Israel and America in ages past, so now I pray, raise Your wing and let us find comfort and security under it, together with Your covenant people, Israel.

Move nations and people to make way for Your plan for Israel as it is revealed. Give her favor among the nations, and bless her right to exist in peace. Comfort all who mourn in Zion, and lead them to the Cross of Christ.

For America, I pray Your blessing to lead us to repentance for our sins, which are many, and grievous. How can we repent, except You give us grace? How can we please You except we repent? So Lord, for Your grace to visit America, I pray, and ask that You will so bless this president that he will have an open line to all Americans to speak boldly in Your Name of salvation that belongs to You.
