Dole’s Campaign on Road to Losing Senate Seat

The Dole Campaign in North Carolina is destined to lose in the November election for the U.S. Senate seat to be vacated by Senator Jesse Helm. Why? First the Dole campaign is more interested in Money than people. As it has been said, If you ain’t got a 1000 dollar check taped to your forehead, they don’t want to talk to you. All across the state of North Carolina, the voters are resenting the fact that the Dole campaign seems not to care about the average voter. Mrs. Dole has to have every event scripted, and in the vein of Hillary Clinton, her campaign has tried to silence the voice of her opponents in the senate Primary. Not only that but the RNC and the State party has dropped all pretense of being fair and impartial. They are promoting Mrs. Dole to the exclusion of the party faithful. The Dole Campaign has enlisted the help of people who have made large contributions and who know nothing about running a campaign to be in charge of different counties and regions. . Boiling it down to it’s essence, they gave them a title and they believe it. These people have never worked on any campaign, other than have a party at their house. These people try to come in and tell party regulars how to run this campaign, when they are reading from a script. One, when asked how they were chosen to be in charge of a certain area stated that they were chosen because they were NOT Political! The party faithful will vote for Mrs. Dole but they are not enthusiastic about tuning out others to the polls. The only way to be elected in North Carolina s to be a conservative candidate, not a moderate. If Mrs. Dole really wants to win she needs to run as a conservative, not the moderate she is displaying. Democrats will vote for the Democrat Candidate if they are choosing between two moderates. It’s that simple, The Dole Campaign is seeking to prove that they just can’t win outside of Kansas.

Well, it doesn't look good for the Republicans in this upcoming November elections. IF they lose this seat (wouldn't suprise me running another Rhino) than you can kiss just about all hopes of regaining the Senate. With J.C.'s announcement it is begining to look bad for the Republicans in the House also.

Imagine the "compromise" legislation Bush will sign with Congress fully in the hands of the Dems! Scarry.

Wishful thinking. Besides ever since the "Pledge" decision, many of us conservatives are more intent on getting GOP control of the Senate irrespective of RINO's. Once the Judiciary is cleaned up, RINO's will be the next target. Priorities after all.

"If Mrs. Dole really wants to win she needs to run as a conservative..."

Can't be what you're not. She's a socialist.

>>If Mrs. Dole really wants to win she needs to run as a conservative<<

Why should she run as a conservative, since she isn't one?

Is it better if she tells you a lie?

The only way to be elected in North Carolina is to be a conservative candidate, not a moderate

Isn't that what you said about Senator Edwards when he ran? It is a good thing Edwards is not a Liberal or a Democrat or he could never have been elected Senator from North Carolina.

But if that Liberal Edwards could have be elected Senator from North Carolina, he might be a power in the Democratic party and be talked about as a 2004 presidential candidate.

Did you ever notice, that only very ignorant people tell lies that are easily proved wrong.

If you're going to compare Liddy Dole's campaign to that of Hillary Clinton, you oughta remember that Clinton won.

"Priorities after all."

I hear you, and I've made the same argument myself in the past, but Libber Dole is just too bad a candidate; once in office... well, when was the last time North Carolina tossed out an incumbent Senator?

Thinking of the "big picture", I keep visualizing her running for President in 8 years, and myself running for Belize...

You state a problem--no question. Is there a solution?

I mean, have you already had your Primary, or is there someone Conservatives can rally around?

I say both parties are in trouble if they think they will win because the minute difference between the two doesn't get thew sheeple out to vote.

You have a primary. Vote in it.

Or should you, and only you, decide who the candidate is?

Dole sucks, but if the GOP primary voters select her, that's their business.

I think Dole has a very good chance of being elected. I then expect her to be a reliable vote in the Senate, if somewhat low-key.

I can live with that.

Well, I'd say this: Dole will be elected (easily), and
will be a mediocre U.S. senator.
