It seems no one told the parking-ticket enforcers about the new combined vehicle registration/parking permit stickers that the DMV has been issuing since last April. This is the typical government way. The left hand never knows what the right hand is doing. It is sad to say but this is what happened during 9-1-1.There is no accountability in government, everyone passes the buck and no one is held responsible.
You reckon this is where Wall Street gets its ideas from?
THINK ABOUT IT!

Sorry to say it, but I believe that this alleged incompetence is intentional. Some people will pay rather than take the day off to contest it, so the DC government gains revenue. DC agencies are famous for pretending to be incompetent while they actually are making citizen's money on their "mistakes."

I would not "trot on down to the Bureau of Traffic Adjudication (BTA) and show proof of valid registration/parking permit ". I would send them and the Mayor a certified letter with a copy of my registration/parking permit. Included would be a note expressing my opinion of their job performance.
