Fr. Cliff Garner.

If he's getting death threats, then he should leave, for his own safety.

Those issuing the death threats are sicker than he is.

Geez, if the Yankees can't do better than split the season series with a .500 team, they aren't going to get very far. 8-)

And if the Red Sox can't beat anybody from the National League, no wonder they haven't won a World Series since 1918!

Stepping down amid death threats seems to parallel giving terrorists their own state for being good suicide bombers.

I hope there is more to the story than gaysbashing.

Oops, should read: "If the Red Sox took only ONE GAME from a National League team, they should be good enough to win the pennant."

Girly-men and the Designated-Hitter rule go hand and glove...

Last week, the Reverend Clifford Garner apologized to parishioners for posting a sexually suggestive message on an Internet site for gay priests. Garner was an assistant pastor at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Monsignor Lawrence Pichard says the pastors was threatened twice last week and police were notified. Thirty-six-year-old Garner couldn't be reached last night for comment. Church officials said that he was staying at an undisclosed location for his own safety. Pichard wouldn't comment on Garner's future with the church.

What was he doing posting suggestive messages on a gay web site? I thought we were in an era of zero tolerance.

The "zero tolerance" policy which results in a priest dismissed from ministry applies to sexual abuse of minors.
