Ok everyone. I have a lawncare question. I have some evil critter destroying my lawn. I suspect moles but I'm not too sure. I can see the raised tunnels and small enter/exit holes. No mounds. I've tried spraying my yard with castor oil- no luck. I just put poison peanuts in the active tunnels and am hoping this works. Does anyone have any other proven treatments? I always treat my lawn for grubs, so I'm not sure what's keeping them here. This is the worst they have ever been.

Moles indicates good soil. But I used to use this thing that has a spike thats spring loaded to impale the critters when they come through a tunnel. PeTA probably doesn't approve, but it worked.

Put JuicyFruit gum in the hole. They love it, but it messes up their digestive system and they die! It works! Really!

You've got a mole. Go buy a steel trap and have fun.

They do go after insects, etc. so I would be sure you have eliminated all of those first.

I wonder if your 'bugs' have become immune to your destructive methods?

Generally, if you eliminate their source of food, they will go elsewhere.

Good luck.

Had the same problem .. and grubs are really hard to get rid of no matter how much I treated the lawn

I used a spray this year that seems to have worked pretty good .. I have to do it every other month though

No sure if this really works but my neighbor used gum .. I think Riglies (sp?) .. she had all the kiddies in the neighborhood chewing gum and putting it in the mole holes

Going to get the Peta people after me but here goes. Buy a pack of gum, unwrap the sticks and put them everywhere you can find a hole. I don't care to describe how this works.
