President Bush arrived back at the White House this afternoon after a weekend at Camp David. The President made some brief remarks to reporters regarding his colonoscopy yesterday. Because the procedure showed no signs of polyp reoccurrence, the President will not need another colonscopy for five years. The procedure hasn't interrupted his workout routine as Bush ran three miles today and took a walk in the woods with wife, Laura. The President has a busy schedule this week before heading to Ripley, WV on the 4th. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
President's Holiday Week Schedule:
Monday: Cleveland, OH- regarding domestic agenda, including the vouchers decision.
Tuesday: Milwaukee, WI- regarding religious groups in the adminstration of welfare programs
Wednesday: Washington- to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Lewis and Clark expedition
Fourth of July: Ripley, W.Va.- July Fourth celebration where veterans will be honored

Thank you both. I know the family is a good Christian family and that God is not going to forsake them. It will be hard but they will endure.

Let's have a mole assassination party! If I PROMISE she'll behave....can my wittle girl come too?

From the milky spore website
What about Moles?
Eliminating grubs with Milky Spore often cause Moles and skunks to feed elsewhere. Unfortunately, they may head for your neighbor’s untreated yard instead. Milky Spore does not affect moles, it simply eliminates their food source.

Got a great story about "flying squirrels" and the techniques. It way to long for the thread. Just combine. Foreign exchange student and his parent. and half dozen squirrels, a huge mid western thunder storm, at 3;00 AM and me running around with a large club yelling:! "FOLKS! THIS ISN"T THE WAY AMERICANS USUALLY LIVE!" Finally got rid of them (the flying squirrels)with a house cat.

I'm near enough to Milwaukee to trot down to the airport on Tuesday to see Air Force One come in. I'm not a higher-up or VIP, so I have absolutely NO hope of actually seeing the Prez, but just seeing Air Force One should be fun (and I'll take the kiddies, too!)

Ok everyone. I have a lawncare question. I have some evil critter destroying my lawn. I suspect moles Had the same problem .. and grubs are really hard to get rid of no matter how much I treated the lawn
I used a spray this year that seems to have worked pretty good .. I have to do it every other month though
No sure if this really works but my neighbor used gum .. I think Riglies (sp?) .. she had all the kiddies in the neighborhood chewing gum and putting it in the mole holes

Not certain. We haven't let her handle a rifle for a while. Hmmmm.....we'll see.
WHAT a visual this is....lawn chairs. Dark. Rifles.

Put JuicyFruit gum in the hole. They love it, but it messes up their digestive system and they die! It works! Really! That's it ..JuicyFruit gum ..
My neighbor had all the kiddies chewing gum one day and they thought it was great ..of course she didn't tell them what it was for .. LOL

Actually they are on the endangered species list. They like my barn (house) Jump off from the ceiling to the floor three stories below. I tried to get the exterminators and the local naturalist to move them. They both kept telling me "BUT, you can't eliminate them they're endangered! They're endangered."
I finally told them. "You bet they are, because tomorrow I'm buying a cat."
Now I use both the cat and sometimes the ammonia (also have a bat, mouse, lizard, snapping turtle, rattlesnake, problem.) My dog takes care of the moles. (of course he leave two foot deep holes through out the yard. But no moles!
