Pray for Bush Day 652- and Israel

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank You for this day and for the many blessings You have given us. I thank You for Your watchcare and guidance each step of the way. I thank You for Your love and Your grace shown towards me, a sinner saved by grace. You are altogether lovely, Lord, and I praise You this Lord's day.

Father, I lift up to You President Bush today and ask that You would help renew and reinvigorate him for the week ahead. Give him a calmness of spirit and a discernment concerning everyone he comes in contact with. Give him wisdom and the power to withstand the enemy. And, protect him from all kinds of harm.

I pray for Israel and ask that You would protect her as well. Another homicide bomber struck her just hours ago. Lord, stop the killing and let their be peace in Jerusalem and with your people Israel.

Go with us the rest of the day and until we meet again. Bless the meetings we will be in the rest of this day, and may You receive honor and glory in what we say and do. For it is in the precious and holy name of Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior that I pray, Amen.

Mighty God, Everlasting Father,

We enter Your gates with thanksgiving on this Lord’s Day, and we come into Your courts with praise. We are thankful unto You and we bless Your name, for You are good; Your mercy is everlasting, and Your truth endures to all generations.

Thank You, Father, for blessing America. We know that You cause nations to rise and fall by the blessings You give to them. Help us to always remember that it is Your grace that sustains us. Thank You for the rich religious heritage that our nation enjoys. Help us to stand strong when judges and legislators attempt to deny this heritage. We praise You for giving us the sweetness of liberty and the joy of freedom. We pray that liberty, justice, and freedom truly would reign through You, our God, and that it would ring from every mountainside. Bless the people of our nation, Father. Bless those who work hard for their families. Bless those who reach out to help their neighbors. And bless those who share the love of God infinitely with all those they meet.

We ask for Your blessings upon our nation’s leaders, Gracious Lord. May Your hand guide them through every day, and may every decision they make bring glory and honor to You. Protect our President and Vice-President from the wicked desires of the devil, and set these men on a high place. Reward them for their faithfulness to You. Give courage to all those in Washington who must make decisions on behalf of the American people. Fortify their hearts with Your Spirit, and never let them fight any battles alone. We pray for the seed of the Gospel to be sown in miraculous ways in our nation’s capital, and that there would be a bountiful harvest there in the coming years.

We pray for Your beloved Israel, Lord. May Your angels continue to surround this nation and its people, shielding them from being overtaken by those who hate them. Give them strength and bless those who pray for them, Father. Help them to know that they are honoring You and doing what You have asked them to do. Strengthen each prayer warrior who visits this thread, and raise up for us new soldiers of Christ to add to our troops, that we may bring down from heaven Your hand upon this land. Father, You are our God, and we seek to serve You. We love You and we gratefully praise You for sending Jesus Christ to be our King, for it is in His name that we pray, Amen.
