Tax Revolt Rally - Sacramento State Capitol
Patriot Defenders Network ^ | Friday, June 28 | Dave Jenest

Posted on 06/28/2002 5:16:54 PM PDT by comwatch

Join dozens of tax revolt organizations and fellow Freepers this Saturday, 11:30 a.m. on the North steps of the Capitol. If you plan to attend, stick this number in your pocket: 916-799-4247  That cellphone will be at the table and there will be a two-way radio there to reach others. We just need to check in with rally organizers as to where we might set up. There are going to be some great organizations represented here and we should network, network NETWORK!!

BREAKING NEWS: Mr. Grover Norquist President Americans for Tax Reform from Washington DC will be featured tomorrow.

In the words of Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Grover Norquist is "the person who I regard as the most innovative, creative, courageous and entrepreneurial leader of the anti-tax efforts and of conservative grassroots activism in America . . . He has truly made a difference and truly changed American history."

Our good pal Mark Williams will host a nationally broadcast show on KSTE 650 AM radio at a special time 10-Noon!!

Bring a portable radio and plug in 1-888-860-8785 on your cellphone so you can call in live.  For our friends that can't make the rally or our partners from outside California, CALL IN and join the fun.  Photos will be online at PATRIOTWATCH.COM

In keeping with our experiences as both hosts and active participants in similar rallies, we're here to be team players. The rally organizers have our cellphone numbers and if needed, I hope you'll all pitch in. Let's continue the tradition of working with the CHP and our fellow patriots in contributing to a family oriented, mission possible event! Most importantly, SPREAD THE WORD and brings friends, family and neighbors.

Tax Revolt

Why do I love that phrase. My mom - who's about as revolutionary as Miss Manners - mentioned that phrase to me the other day. She was seriously pissed.

Do me a favor. Say "Hi" to Melanie Morgan and Lee Rodgers from KSFO for me, if you see them. Just about the only thing about California I missed when we moved to GA. Fortunately, they fixed their online streaming shortly after we got here. : )

Have fun!!

From your link: Unlike the last several years when the state had huge surpluses and budgets were passed on time, California's budget-making this year is hung up on how to cover an estimated $23 billion shortfall between expenses and expected revenues.

Hold onto your wallets! Enron, Worldcom, I see dead people layed off state workers. Alas the socialist utiopian dream may be coming to an end as $23Bill is quite a bump in the road, one that even the Clampetts (especially Granny in her rocker) could not withstand.

"They said California is the place you ought to be, so they loaded up their SUV and said "You gotta be sh*tting me".
