Well, Paul joined Frank and Nadler in opposing the Child Porn bill.

Just scroll down a few votes, you will see it.

Oh, goody. My idiot "representative" (Blumenauer) voted "present."

He didn't even have the courage to take a stand one way or the other.

I can't say I'm terribly surprised.

The point of this post is in part to show that he voted to suspend the rules and agree that Newdow v. U.S. Congress was erroneously decided.

But MY point was that he hasn't abandoned the LP.

I'm usually pro-Paul anyways.

Blumenauer just gave his opponent a gift. Your representative just painted a big political bull's-eye on his own back.

Blumenauer just gave his opponent a gift.

LOL. I wish.

If it were up to the people in East Multnomah county, where I live, yes, Blumenauer would already be gone.

Unfortunately, we are far outnumbered by out-and-out socialists and communists down in Portland. So, we essentially have no representation in Congress.

Heh.

This ticked me off so much, I dropped Lars Larson (KXL Radio) an email about it, in which I called Blumenauer a coward.

Lars just read it on the air a few minutes ago.

So, at least Blumenauer got publically called a coward once for this cowardly vote! :-)

Excellent, B Knotts. Who knows how many people heard it?

Is KXL a talk-format station? If so, did your e-mail generate further discussion?

Yes. and Yes.

Several people have called in to take a shot at Blumenauer. :-)

Three of those "Present" votes -- Ackerman, Nadler, and Velazquez -- were from NYC representatives. I think people need to start reciting the Pledge a lot more loudly and prominently in New York City.
