I thought I would post this so that others may donate to the Goforth's cause. There is a link at the end of the article that takes you to a place where you can donate; just in case you didn't see it.

I thought I would post this so that others may donate to the Goforth's cause. As the father of two son's born prematurely (one 4 weeks early, one 10 weeks early) who are both doing well now, my heart goes out to these people. I admire them for fighting the system.
But I have to ask. With him owning his own business, and with her 5 plus months pregnant, what the hell were they doing taking a ski vacation when they had no health insurance?

Bump for this article.
The Goforth's show great love, wisdom, and dignity in their son's care. I've been following this story and am pleased that little William is home with his parents. :o)

WND has a tendency to exxagerate for effect, but I doubt they could have distorted this incredible story much. I've heard bits and pieces before, but never much detail.
My cousin would have gone ballistic about this case in the past. He's an RN who specializes in preemie care, and helped pioneer the techniques used to keep this extreme case alive. He has taught and has published text-books to his credit. He has said that no level of care is ever too much for a preemie.

Something in this story doesn't fit together with the rest.
