I am not sure what the law is on punishing someone for this. Practically speaking, however, the guy will do it again.

I actually know this guy sort of from high school. He was a druggie loser at a very early age. Loser parents who likely abused him as well. Not that I feel sympathy for child molesters, but almost all of them were moleted themselves. It's too bad we can't go after this guy's parents.

A pariah in the midst. You're right, he will victimize again. Whose child will be next?

He should have been locked up, and THEN had these restrictions put on him if he were ever released. He will do it again, or worse.

"Sherman said Drupals underwent a psychiatric evaluation that concluded he was at a low risk to offend again."

Pedaphiles are never cured, no matter what psychiatrists say.
Let's see how many documented cases of "cured" pedaphiles they can come up with - NONE!
Must be the same Shrinks the Bishop's sent the pedarest/pedophile priests to.

Sherman said Drupals underwent a psychiatric evaluation that concluded he was at a low risk to offend again.

In other words, he lied during the evaluation.

Greenwich is about an hour's drive from my home. It does my heart good to know that we're locking up nonviolent offenders and leaving cretins like this free to victimize others.

Ah, well, at least they haven't outlawed handguns completely yet, right?

If the law will not protect society, we must do it ourselves. We need to kill all child molesters.

I wish someone would write up a website or underground book on how the police find child molesters online. Citizen's protection groups could use the tactics, and hold their own "trials" in the woods. Film the event, including the execution, and put that on the Web. Strike mortal fear into the hearts of those who would offend.

That's right, the odds are overwhelming that he will violate his probation. It's also a good bet that he will do little or no time for that. And when he eventually molests a child, some Judge Lopez clone will again let him off lightly. At last, liberals have found something they have in common with Catholic bishops.

Man barred from being near children

Oh. It's not who I thought it was.

I also went to school with Ernest. And before you bash someone, you should know the full story. First, Ernest was convicted of voyeurism and possession of child pornography charges. He was NEVER accused or found to have touched anyone. He passed several lie detector tests. The police also looked for victims. There were no victims. His father has been dead since Ernie was in high school. His father suffered greatly before his death. Ernest was an honor student and an athlete before having to care for his ailing father, which included changing his diapers. His mother is a very kind and loving woman. The local newspapers grossly exaggerated and misinterpreted the facts in the case. Anything for a good story. I read every psychological evaluation and all of the police reports. I also attended many of the court hearings in this case. If I had to go on what I read in the paper, I probably would have arrived at the same conclusions you did. It is unfair, though, because the story was twisted to the extreme. I am not advocating the acts of voyeurism, or the possession of the pornography. However, there was no solicitation or trading of these images. They were images of teenage boys, not toddlers which the newspapers indicated. There is a double standard in this country. Men are allowed to look at teenage girls in sexual ways. The advertising community markets young girls to appeal to older men. It's gross. And I agree that child molesters should be locked away and never let out. However, you should get your facts straight before you slander. Ernie is a voyeur, not a child molester. And yes, there is a difference, a very big difference.

He will do it again. The recidivism rate amongst living pederasts is about 100%.

Dead pederasts do not re-offend.
