June 28, 2002 -- IN a nutshell, here's what got the two country singers in trouble: They planned to perform songs on national TV on the Fourth of July that articulated their anger over the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
For this, the two stars - Toby Keith and Charlie Daniels - had the welcome mat pulled right out from under them by ABC and PBS.

This would all be even more outrageous if anyone actually watched ABC or PBS.

In this case, why bother having a fourth of July special?

Thank you for pinging me TxBec.My heart crys for the way America has changed so much with the control of the liberals.

Thanks for the ping. I am glad to see that ABC is making the decision of what I should listen too for me.
Isn't Peter Jennings still a Canadian citizen? Maybe we should bring the RCMP band down to New York to perform for him. We need to keep Peter Spinnings happy now doncha know?

I've had better things to do with my time than watch any of the alphabet channels for 4 years now.

Seems like ABC and PBS are trying to make Independence Day politically correct. We can't let them!!

1) Since canada is part of North America do they call themselves "Americans"? (I am verifying something a canadia said to me)
2) Should not a US citizen host a show celebrating being a citizen of the United States?
To: TonyRo76
That's a fact !
To: Greeklawyer
I have an Idea:
8:00 pm July fourth Everyone everywher in the united states recite the plede of alegence?
Call radio stations!
Call tv!
Lets see the canadian recite this without the words "controversy"

In this case, why bother having a fourth of July special? Agreed.
They could just run that old Letterman video of a monkey washing a cat.

That's the bottom line, Miss-...
Real American won't watch and support Anti-American stations or programs anymore. No need to, we have FR and Sierra....
I was recently noticing the BIG difference between Un-Holywood and the Country Music folks ....Patriotism !
I don't see CM-folks refusing to recite the Pledge or telling folks all this "PC wanna run our life for us stuff"
Just the opposite..they support FAMILIES with real Parents, they support values, and unlike un-Holywood, CM-folks love the American Flag.

I saw a brief clip of it on the news. I loved the "we'll put a boot to your ass". I'm dying to get a copy--is it in stores yet?
