Strippers, table top dancers and topless barmaids will no longer be completely uncovered after winning approval to form their own union.
The Striptease Artists Association will immediately begin pushing for a national award to underpin wages and conditions in the raunchy industry.
The new union, which gained registration from the Aussie Industrial Relations Commission this week, also wnat to improve workplace health and safety, citing injuries from slips on oily stages or trips from high heels.
A spokeswoman for the SAA, who goes under her stage name of 'Mystical Melody,' says the union had been formed to protect young women from exploitation in the adult entertainment industry.

I guess now that they are Union they'll just sit around and smoke and flash their Union cards whenever their boss tells them to get to work.

Personally I think they should have name themselves the Transcontinental Nudist Association.
TNA.

I sort of envision the situation much like highway construction workers. One of the five actually dances, while the other four idly lounge around.

A spokeswoman for the SAA, who goes under her stage name of 'Mystical Melody,',,, gotta hand it to those South Africans, their inflight entertainment really is going ahead in leaps and bounds!
To: Tench_Coxe
This may not be a good thing long term, do we really want extioc dancers sitting around taking 2 hour lunches and sitting around scratching their nether regions?
To: shaggy eel
I wonder how long it took her to come up with the name 'Mystical Melody.'
Why not just do it the old fashioned way like on 'Friends:' your adult entertainment name is your first pet mixed with the first street you lived on.
