Clear Channel Bleeps "Under God"
myself

Posted on 06/27/2002 6:09:47 PM PDT by halley

Sorry to post a vanity, but thought this was worth putting out there. While driving around Central Virginia today listening to Rush talk about the 9th Circuit Court decision on the Pledge of Allegiance, my wife and 9 year old were reciting along with the radio when all of a sudden the local Clear Channel affiliate bleeped out the words "Under God"!

We think this is irresponsible and nothing Rush would condone, so we're going to call Corporate in the morning to register our displeasure. They can be reached at:

Corporate Headquarters
Clear Channel Communications, Inc.
200 East Basse Road

Or

Diane Dalton Warren
Vice President / Communications

Hope some of you freepers will join us.

Will do. It was crazy for them to do such a thing! So many have never really been toaught our true heritage.

It's time we educate them and get back on the right track!

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."- John Adams, Oct. 11, 1798 Address

Ok, check on the calls ... still need to set aside the ruling and impeach those on the 9th circuit.

Did you know the word "gullible" isn't in the dictionary?

Don't be too hard on yourself. When the program first came on, I changed radio stations thinking that my ususal station was about to perform one of those emergency radio network tests! By the time I had the new station dialed in, Rush was explaining and I had to LOL at myself!

When Rush did this I also thought it was some sort of an emergency test. Rush did explain what he was doing after a bit.
