Man Accused of Exposing Himself to Female Postal Workers
Reporter: Andy Cordan
A Maury County man is accused of exposing himself to female letter carriers. Sheriff's investigators spent much of their day scouring the county for the wanted man. The man accused of the act is 40-year-old Kenneth Ray Pigg.
Det. Sgt. Paul Westmoreland spent much of his day Thursday looking for the Maury County man.
"Yes sir, the women at the postal service are very concerned. Yesterday when they came through, the individual came off the side of the road with no clothes on, showing his genitalia to her," Westmoreland said.
According to investigators, in just the last few days, Pigg has reportedly exposed himself four times to the same two postal carriers, both women.
"They're running their route through here around 1:00 p.m. As the subject stands up, steps into the road, and exposes himself to her fully nude, then vanishes into the weeds here."
Authorities said neither postal worker knows Pigg, but Thursday morning each woman independently picked Pigg out of a photo lineup.
"They both pointed to him and said, yes sir, that's the man right there."
Armed with arrest warrants for indecent exposure, marked units scoured the Glendale community where Pigg lives.
"We need to get this wrapped up ASAP."
Deputies searched county highways in the Culleoka area for his S-10 Blazer.
"They are scared, allege they've seen him several times in this vehicle."
Law men traveled back roads and canvassed out-of-the-way farms looking for Pigg. Deputies even took News 2 to an old bus where Pigg reportedly lives, but the bus was empty.
We tried to talk to the postal workers, but they declined. A spokesperson for the post office did tell News 2 that this kind of thing does not happen very often, and they plan to prosecute the matter to the fullest extent of the law. If you've seen Kenneth Ray Pigg, call the Maury County Sheriff's Department.
