| The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the use of taxpayer-paid school vouchers to send children to private schools, finding that a Cleveland program does not violate the Constitutions church-state doctrine even though the majority of students use the vouchers to attend parochial schools. |

Although we atheist Libertarians are often accused of trying to stomp out freedom of religion (accusations by the usual haters, of course) this is a great pro-liberty individualistic ruling!!!!!
We still don't approve of taxes per se for most purposes -- but at least lets get some freedom of choice and competition in the education business.
Too bad it was just a 5/4 decision. It means the court still has some anti-individualistic socialistic authoritarians on it, and a few more could turn the tide the wrong way.
Here's hoping for more Libertarians on the USSC!!! Great news, though.

"I like it when the NEA gets kicked in the groin."And freedom got a lift by its boot straps. And a special thanks to Justice Thomas.

Justice Thomas is a Roman Catholic and a Republican, hardly one you could laud as a fellow athEist LibeRtarIan. Now crawl back under your sewer grate and claim that one-half of one percent of the cockroach vote that your awesome party so richly deserves. We don't need you up here trying to destroy our American society.
