BUSH NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM WORLD LEADERS WHO WISH TO REMAIN IN POWER![]()
New Process Will Help President Decide Which Leaders to Topple
Having decided that his procedure for determining which foreign leaders to topple was becoming too unwieldy, President Bush is now accepting applications from foreign leaders who are interested in remaining in power, the White House said today.
President Bush believes that a standardized application is the fairest and most effective way for him to select which foreign leaders to topple, White House press secretary Ari Fleischer said today.
The application process, while relatively simple, does require all foreign leaders who wish to avoid being toppled to submit a resume, three letters of recommendation, and the results of a foreign leaders aptitude test administered by the Educational Testing Service of Princeton, New Jersey.
While President Bush is reportedly still sifting through several hundred applications from foreign leaders who wish not to be toppled, White House sources say that Iraqi strongman Saddam Husseins chances to remain in power seem slim at best.
On the application, right next to the name, there are two boxes you can check: Evil, or Not Evil, one aide said. Guess which one old Saddam checked?
But for those foreign leaders whose applications fail to pass muster, the news isnt all bad, as the Bush administration has promised to find new positions in the private sector for all of the foreign leaders they decide to topple.
While the President has not specified exactly where all of the toppled leaders will wind up, it is believed that many of them will be among the 3,000 new baggage checkers currently being hired at U.S. airports.
Glad to see you're into the spirit of the article; that of sardonic humor. You did see that, didn't you? Tell us that you did. Please. If not, you're going to look mighty foolish with your comment.
You look very strange, standing in the corner... talking to that "straw man". Here's a clue, it's a joke... you are supposed to see through it. But to your credit, you do name the right names. Clinton did his best to coddle Hussein by only going through the motions of enforcing the UN imposed sanctions, behind the scenes weakening them, and overlooking Saddam's underground WMD development. We did essentially let Hussein do what he willed for 8 years despite inspections, sanctions, and unfocused pin prick air attacks. Hussein continues his activities that have been well underway since the end of the Gulf War, which included support for world wide terrorism against us and striving for nuclear weapons. Now Hussein's Iraq is a serious threat again to it' neighbors and to the United States, because of eight years of a weak foreign policy. Hardly an endorsement for further "head in the sand" ignorance of reality.
Clinton dishonestly forced a war over Kosovo, and caused tremendous damage in Serbia proper. Should Milosovich have been deposed? His own people did it, with our help. I am not going to go to any lengths defending the legitimacy or the human rights record of the Slobodan Milosovich regime, that limb way is too shaky, but Clinton's "wag-the-dog" in Kosovo Serbia should be investigated for the abuse of power it seems to have been.
Bush is not required to support the corrupt terrorist Arafat, and so he has every right to condition American support for a provisional or any other kind of Palestinian state upon their reform. Arafat's election was an obvious sham, and so real reform must be carried out, which necessarily would include the ouster of the chief terrorist leader, Arafat. There will be no peace in the Middle East, ostensibly the goal of any American Middle Eastern policy, until the Palestinian leadership abandons it' terrorist offensive and futile plans for destruction of Israel. Since Israel has the the right to self defense, and Arafat seems to be at least an ideological ally of Al Qaeda, which has already declared war upon the United States, Bush can hardly be faulted for finally doing the right thing.
Bush didn't tell the pali's they couldn't keep Arafat if they want to. He told them they won't get U.S. support for their longed-for state unless Arafat is replaced.
