Let's kill the innocent

Dr A.H. Khayal
The attack on the Trade Towers killed more than three thousand innocent Now Yorkers. America held Osama responsible for the carnage. By way of revenge, America ruthlessly bombarded Afghanistan.
The number of innocent Afghan men, women and children killed by the bombing shall never be known. The killing of the innocent New Yorkers was rightly denounced by President Bush as an act of barbaric terrorism. But the President did not tell what sort of an act the killing of innocent Afghans was.
Perhaps the President believes that if an innocent American is killed and the killer cannot be apprehended and hanged then it is America's right to kill any number of non-Americans by way of revenge. William Blackstone says: "It is better that ten guilty persons escape than one innocent suffer". President Bush must be laughing up his sleeve at Blackstone's nonsense.
The Afghan refugees in Pakistan allege that landmines have been laid up and down Afghanistan. During the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, the Russian forces also laid landmines throughout Afghanistan. In respect of landmines, Afghanistan has become the richest country of the world.
Afghanistan must be grateful both to America and Russia for this honour. No one can ever know how many innocent Afghans have already been killed by the landmines. And no one can ever know how many Afghans who are yet to be born are destined to be killed by the landmines. What a civilised way of having revenge! President Bush condemned the T.T. attack as an attack of vandalism on civilisation. What does the President think about the European landmines which have been blasting innocent Afghan children to bits?
Perhaps President Bush believes that a citizen's worth should be determined in terms of the status of the country of his birth. Since America is fabulously richer than Afghanistan, each American is worth more than a whole tankful of Afghan men, women and children. Logically, the President avers that for each American killed by Osama's terrorists it is his responsibility to kill a whole thankful of innocent Afghan men, women and children.
Actually, the terrorism which has hit America is Israel's gift to America. Since its establishment, Israel has been mercilessly killing the Palestinians non-stop. When a young Palestinian sees with his own eyes Israeli forces butchering his brother or father and no justice being available to him, he instantaneously becomes a suicide-bomber. If he does not become a suicide-bomber, he is anything but a human being.
Osama firmly believed that all the Palestinians killed by Israel were killed with America's blessings. Hence the terrorists' attack on the T.T. American patronage of Israel has cost America dearly. But America does not mind because America loves Israel dearly. America knows that the number of Osama's terrorists is equal to the number of the Palestinians killed by Israel.
President Bush believes that there is no God but brute force and that brute force is the only force that can conquer the world. The President should know that brute force has never been a victor. What looks like a military victory is really a defeat in the garb of victory. Did Pilate's brute force conquer Jesus? It was not Jesus who was crucified. It was each crucifier who was crucified. Jesus as a victor is as alive as the sun.
His crucifiers are as dead as the dodo. There is only one power which can conquer the world. It is justice. A military conquest is a mirage. Unfortunately, President Bush is mad on mirages. Poor Americans! The President hates justice. He loves partialities. The terrorism problem is a creation of the President's partialities and fanaticism. The President is fanatically anti-Palestinian and fanatically pro-Israel.
The Americans are terribly terrified. They are horribly apprehensive that the terrorists could strike again any moment. America knows that its entire military might is not capable of effectively coping with terrorism. There is only one power which can crush terrorism for ever. It is justice. Once a just peace was established in the world, terrorism would commit suicide.
The Americans are extremely unlucky guys. They have a President who fancies that the world is just a blown-up version of a ranch and that it can be run as easily as a ranch can be run. But the President must know that every nincompoop can run a ranch because the denizens of a ranch have absolutely no sense of justice or injustice. But the world is a totally different affair.
It is a conglomeration of countries. And in each country the citizens are acutely conscious of their rights. They know what is just and what is unjust. You cannot push them around like the animals of a ranch. The world affairs can be effectively run only by a superman who is equipped with the deadliest of all weapons: the weapon of justice.
Unfortunately, President Bush is equipped with all sorts of deadly weapons barring the weapon of justice. Hence our world is in a colossal turmoil. The turmoil is President Bush's gift to the contemporary humanity. There is only one solution to the terrorist problem. President Bush must discard all his partialities. Perhaps it is asking something, which he cannot do. Perhaps he cannot breathe without his partialities.
Most of the countries believe that American military might is the greatest tragedy of the contemporary world. It is a fallacious belief. It is not America's military might but the use to which it has been put that is the greatest tragedy. So far it has been used absolutely destructively. It could have been used absolutely constructively. But for that, a President endowed with a sense of absolute justice was necessary. Unfortunately, such a President was not available.
The American forces are in the Middle East. They are in the Far East. They are in the South East. They are in Africa. They are in South America. They are in Europe. They are in the Russian Republics. You name the place and they are there.
Almost the entire globe is groaning under President Bush's jackboots. The President has a gigantic military mission to achieve. He is burning with a passion to clamp American military hegemony upon the entire world. In other words, he is determined to oust God from His worldly realm and usurp His throne. Poor Americans!
They must be ready for the divine wrath. But all is not lost. It is still possible to avert the impending doom. The Americans must forthwith depresidentise the President and fill the presidential chair with a person who is all justice, all impartiality, all fairness. However, if such a diamond be unavailable, the presidential chair should be kept vacant.
Keeping the chair empty is better than filling it with injustice, partiality and fanaticism. Filling it with injustice, partiality and fanaticism is filling it with debris. So long as the chair remains empty the American masses should directly run the country's affairs. No government is better than a bad government.
The Bible commands: 'Thou shalt not covet they neighbour's wife". The commandment is not meant to be taken literally.
It contains a tremendous piece of wisdom in a veiled form. Actually it says: "Don't interfere in other people's affairs". Unfortunately, Moscow wildly interfered in the affairs of the East European countries. All of a sudden a mighty lightening struck Moscow out of the blue and the USSR was dismembered.
Unfortunately, America has learnt nothing from Moscow's stupidity. Emulating Moscow, America has been lustily interfering in the affairs of almost every country of the world. One shudders to imagine what might be in store for America in heaven. Perhaps a lightening many times more devastating than the Moscow lightening, is dying to hug President Bush. But the President is not to be blamed. "We learn from history that we learn nothing from history."
Moscow stationed its forces in various parts of Eastern Europe. Destiny severely punished Moscow for the intrusions. America has stationed its forces in almost every part of the world. If destiny does to America what it did to Moscow, America must be grateful to destiny for treating the two intruders absolutely equally. But America would grumble. America is passionately in love with Israel. And Israelis are God's chosen people. How dare destiny treat a friend of God's chosen people as it treated Moscow!

Pakistan's schizophrenic mindset. For every rational columnist, there is a corresponding jihadi sympathiser ready to answer the call.
